I'd think any 30 cal be it 308 or 30-06 300 win mag would work or if it's up close a lever gun in 35 rem would be nice iv never shot a hog hell never seen one but I know all the rounds would work well.

I'm not dead set on one iv just always wanted one and there's nothing you can't do with the thing. Swap uppers and u got a whole new gun. Iv also have a ton of trigger time with the platform being in the army. Iv thought of parting it together because it's actually cheaper and it's how I want it the uppers I like range from 500 to 650 and lowers complete can be had at 150-300 but to buy pre built is 1200-1500. On a side note what load do u use out of the HMR I also have one but haven't shot a yote with it just fox and coon mostly I'm running cci 17gr TNT and 20gr game points both have same POI so no sighting in to shoot the different gr.

I'm thinking of getting a AR for coyote,fox,bobcat, and ground hogs along with paper punching. I don't want a tactical carbine unless it's a pre ban. Iv been looking at the DPMS bull panther 20" RRA coyote or Fred eichler series or a bushmaster varmint. The RRA all come in wylde chamber so I can interchange .223 with 5.56 without a issue in a semi. The RRA are also the best looking IMO. The RRA and dpms both are about the same price. Bushmasters are more by almost $500. What are your guys thoughts on them any experience with said company's

All my guns are bolt actions I don't own a single repeater there all 1 shot 1 kill I don't need a follow up most the time when I do it's usually doubles coming in that's when I wish I had a AR. I'm thinking of getting a RRA predator one or waiting till the Fred eichler series comes out from rock river.

Same here we but heads occasionally usually over petty crap but I like going there befor my own family. My moms the mil to complain about 9 outa 10 times. Plus my wifes mom is hot for 57 I tell my wife that's how I knew she was a keeper always look at the mom haha.

I'll have to look into them I'm thinking of doing it on my deployment to Kuwait if it sucks and I have time they said it's a good time to do classed or I could be busy as hell I'll know in a month

My 2 yearold is to smart for his own good. I was surfing the web looking at taxidermy schools for something to do on the side for extra money. I said some thing to the wife and noah heard me didn't even see the screen and told me to do it. So my wife asked him "Noah do you even know what taxidermy is" his answer was "silly mommy daddy's gonna put big bucks on the wall" idk how the hell he knew what it was he's 2.5 he's never heard any one talk about it unless he remembers a year back at his great grandpas seeing all his work he used to be a big trapper and tried some taxidermy all the mounts are from the 60s.

I used to work weeks like that right outa tech school as a mechanic I loved the paychecks nothing like being 19 banking 1300 a week. I got burnt out quick because I was single and drank like a fish parting with my buddy's I'd down a 30 and a handle of vodka every night wake up work and do it all again. I'd do it all over again just without the booze. Now I work as a teachers aide don't make squat but have tons of time for family and the outdoors

Dropped a red fox this morning using the TNT round 180yds shoulder shot he wadded right up didn't twitch. I still gotta hide em I'll do some csi work to see what it did inside.
