  1. I don't get my copy till Friday my mom said she's gonna get it for me as a bday present........... You got that right 25 and still getting games from mommy lol
  2. Iv been shooting sense I could squeeze a trigger then the army made me better. Iv taught my wife to shoot as good if not better but with the .22 Shea scared of the others
  3. Last year I was shooting 2in groups with the same set up but open sights at 150 sabots arnt like the old smooth bore slugs they can be tack drivers. Yesterday I put 3 in the same hole at 50. My farthest shot on a deer was 183yds lazer confirmed dead run shooting rem copper solids. Even rigt now only being able to shoot 70 yds I'll shoot farther iv always had good results with the chart provided on the box like my .243 I have that sighted in how the box says 1.5 high at 100 and iv shot and droped crows, yotes and ground hogs out to 500 yards just by going off their provided chart and my own factors for wind drift holds. I would of brought it up to 2.5 high at 50 but it was starting to hurt the wallet after the 6 I already fired lol $3 a trigger squeeze
  4. Ok I got a question bout trajectory of a slug but it can ne related to most anything with a bullet. I'm shooting hornady sst sabots for deer now the box says 50yds +2.5 100yds +3.3 150yds 0.0 200yds -8.8 Now I'm zeroed at 50yds because most of my spots that I hunt the most are 50 or less but I can in right conditions shoot 200+ Now what's my new table for how this round will shoot normally I would go to the field I use and just shoot at each distance but it's bow season and all I have is to shoot behind my Inlaws only 70yds max

The way it sounded in the magazine it snaps in and is held on "tight" but the force of a strike/hookset allows the weight to slide up out of the way making it less likely to be thrown by the bass.
  6. .22 can't get any cheaper or easier then that 550rnds for 20 bucks compared to a .17hmr there 12 dollars for 50. I'd get a little bolt gun there cheap and teach u to aim and take ur time u can pick them up for less then 150 new or used.
  7. Yeah my 2 year old is exited I'm staying home he's all exited about "dragging bucks tag bucks" ibwas only gonna get to hunt opening day but now I got all season and ice fishing to spend with the kids and family.
  8. I have thought of the active duty stint but rigt now it's not really the best for me or my family. If I was single I would do it in a heart beat. I was just needing that deployment to bump my gi bill mostly and i want to reclass to aviation mech but I was hoping for a deployment as grunt for the experience.
  9. Yeah it won't be a plinker I gotta look into seeing if there are dies available and I'll reload if i can but ammo isn't to terrible compared to other guns in my arsenal that get pricey to make em go bang

I'm in the process of getting my pistol permit after putting it off fir a while and iv been eyeballing this pistol for some time now anyone shot or own one. It seems like a B A little gun and all the reviews are great other then the fat frame and little hands don't mix.
  11. I to have been eyeballing this pistol my wifes pushing me to get my permit because of all the break ins, muggings, and stabbings by illegal immigrants she wants me to be packing. She's probably gonna get one as well just the pink model. My cousin has one and she loves it but that's the only input I have on the gun.

I was looking threw a magazine today well the wife was shopping and seen this new buckeye 2pc football jig. Looks like an intresting concept has anyone here seen or tried it out.
  13. Yeah I'm happy to be staying home I can go ice fishing and see my youngest jack crawl and walk which has me pretty happy. Everyones glad I'm not going besides the wife I mean she's glad but she had alot of plans and wanted to go back to school but she can't now not yet till I find a different job this teachers aide ain't cutting it. The only thing I'm numbed about is the experience really yeah the boat was gonna be a nice bonus but it's still not out of reach just gonna have to work hard and save up.
  14. Pakistan most likely but iv only got 2 years left on my contract to complete my 6 I was going to renlist but im not sure anymore.
  15. Idk if it counts but I hooked my face in the spring it was a cast the tree made when I ripped the crank out of it lol I caught it it caught me....in the forehead
  16. Well as most of u know I was deploying this month to Afghanistan. Rumor has been flying around that were not gonna go well that rumor came true I'm no longer deploying. They were talking bout maybe Kuwait but that looks like a no go as well. Part of me is glad because I get to stay home with my boys and wife not to mention I get to hunt all season now hopefully there's tags left. The other part of me is mad because I really needed to go financially and the benefits for me and the family would of helped a ton not to mention my bass boat is still a distant dream at this point. So as of right now were not going anywhere but we may in a few month but I doubt it.
  17. 70 in buffalo for Sunday
  18. No it's easy just be in a warm work space it takes to the metal better if it's warm iv blued quite a few rifles that were hand me downs or I get them used and they need a touch up. Just never re blue an old gun u plan on selling that may be worth some money I found this out the hard way turning a $500 .22 into a $100 .22
  19. In a weeks time iv gone from 90+ weather at ft Irwin Cali came home to 30-40 weather snow flying and now Sunday's forecast is 70 and sunny I don't understand where is my deer weather
  20. Lol nice but where us ur hitch on the Hyundai? I believe ya just wondering. Heck I was on my way to ft drum last year and seen a Ranger Comanche being towed by a Chevy Malibu so I don't doubt it's possible.
  21. Haha I wanted to name ours stew but the wife said no so our 2 year old named it being it's his rabbit now it's name is big baby wabbit

What did u guys have as your first pets or got your kids for pets. We got my son a pet rabbit yesterday because we can't do the normal cat or dog in our apt. So far it's been good other than my son thinking he can chase this poor thing all over the place. It is a cool little thing though it's full of energy and super smart for a little rabbit it has nut attacks but then runs up and gets on your lap like a cat. So do any of u have experience with rabbits.
  23. Is the barrel painted or blues? U can re blue it with a kit that costs I think 20 to strip sand and re blue it this would be your cheapest and best way with out sending it out if it's blued. Or u can take a wire brush and some rem oil get the rust out and spray paint it but IMO that ruins guns and makes em look cheesy
  24. I still have one that I bought years ago as my first reel I bought with my own money like 10+ years ago iv never cleaned it till last year and it still works like a charm it's now my wife/sons reel now only thing changed over the years was the rods
