Check make sure its legal first even though its a shotgun it may not be illegal much like it is here in new york. U can shoot I think what 45LC out of a 410 which makes it illegal in shotgun only counties. Why not get him shooting a 20ga there more accurate then a 12ga but you can get reduced recoil rounds for both a 12 or 20ga that way he's not affraid of the kick.

I use verizon its never been right I noticed a while ago cuz I use it to keep my fishing log the pic will tell me the exact time and date but the locations have never been close but if I pull up the map its usually dead on

Its a river so yeah the whole system is at the deepest 12ft for a short stretch its a narrow river at that maybe 30ft wide lined with tree after tree after tree down in the water. Early summer late spring I was hitting the trees calling the shot id pick a bass every pitch of the jig now there's no bass anywhere it seems. The other spot I fish is avg 30ft deepest 60 ft but i v only fished it maybe 3 times this year because u need a boat. But I mainly fish 2 rivers both close just ones deeper with a muddy bottom and trees for cover the other is shallower with some deep spots and all rocks loaded with smallies.

What would you consider to be deep water and shallow. The majority of the water I fish is shallow like 4 to 5ft one of the other spots is 12ft at the deepest. So is 12ft considered deep and should I use "deep water" presentations like a c rig or is 12 ft still kinda shallow.

I don't know the water temp I fish from the bank but it feels cool and the pike are going nuts and they prefur colder waters its only 61 out today nights have been cold to I can't seem to find bass though there were some yesterday but dinks that didn't even hit.

As it says has the fall bite started yet I kinda think it has the 1 smallmouth I caught yesterday had a belly full like it was spawning again but it was squishy with minnows plus it hit a fluke and all the pike were fat as well.

I got one on the side of the road 12 years ago me and my buddys rode our bikes by and seen it was free they were moving so we went home fast grabed our skate boards and pushed it home its still I'm my moms garage today full of what's left of last years deer.

I use both but mostly casting gear my spinning rod is usually got light finnese baits on it or a tube. Last year I never used my spinning setups this year I'm finding my self using it more and more and plan on getting a few more spinning set ups for drop shoting and shakey heads

See I should also mention she is bipolar one day she's a angel couldent be happier she will let me fish all day and not a peep tell me to stay out late. Other days some times the same day its like a light switch and she will forget everything I did to go fishing I just up and disapeared leaving her.

Hey just cuz I cook and do the dishes........... No I told her this crap might fly now but after I get back from deployment and I have my boat the craps gotta stop I'm not gonna bring the boat in cuz she's hungry or what ever. The kids will be older to noah will be 4 by then jack will be 1 1/2 so it might be easier plus she will have a whole year to get used to me being gone. I'm getting back in december which here in ny there's not much fishing then and huntings over so I will have maybe 4 months to spend qt with her and the kids befor I take the weekends back.

I am she knows I'm mad because I get nasty and sarcastic about everything afterwards till I get home and then I stop because I don't want to fight so I put a smile on show her the fish I caught when walking back. She told me to go out tomorrow or later in the week if I wanted because she feels bad making me come all the way back to bring her chicken fingers.

That's cool its kinda like what I did for my son I made a mobil for the crib out of 2 rod tips and some colorful cranks with the hooks removed of course. No wonder he's 2 and is obsesed with fishing already

Are u sure there bass? I have carp jump like this all the time and some times I think there bass and will do as u did only to get skunked. But when it os bass for sure I usually see minnows fleeing first so I throw a fluke and almost always get a limit fast that or spinners work well. You could always throw a fly if u had a fly rod iv done that to get the carp or bass

Iv fallen on my arse so many times doing this on the banks sense I don't have a boat. Setting on smallies that like to jump and dig for cover starting back peddling only o slip in the mud or on a rock lol. The first time my wife seen me do it she's was like what the hell are u doing id land fish just by walking backwards and reeling in the slack after there on shore.

It was her idea for me to go today sense I cleaned the whole d**n house Friday and noah our 2 year old was with my mom so she was alone with jack our youngesthes 1 month old Thursday so all he does is sleep. We went out to eat yesterday as well and ordered out today twice once on my way back and once just now for dinner. Tomorrow is the picnic with her parents and taking noah to the muck to set up my tree stand to give her yet another break from the terrors of a 2 year old who only cares about fish and bucks lol.

I do say a lot of that but she doesn't say the same stuff ur wife says other then the "when will u be back" line and I say the same u do and she alsways asks what time that is I tell her when the sun goes down.

lund that's whazt her parents always ask her her moms exact words are this I swear "god alexis what the hell u gonna do while he's deployed grow up and let the man fish". Her answer is always " idk move back in with you guys(her parents)" her dad fliped on her last hunting season on a push I was in my stand and across the woods I hear him" alexis he's in his tree stand leave him alone and stop calling me to get to him were hunting" don't get me wrong I love my wife but she needs friends or something to occupy her but she stabed them all in the back a while ago and they won't talk to her anymore.

I do put her and the boys first I'm out with noah right now catching a school of 8inch bass she gets plenty of time I only fish once maybe maybe twice a week to last years every day. The rest of the week is full of her time doing what she likes to do together shoping,riding the horses, watching food network all friggen night. And I don't complain all week till my 1 day gets spoiled and all the sorrys don't make it better when I get home and she tells me to just go back out after getting her food or what ever she needed
