I personally wouldent use the same rod for cranking as I do jigging. If anything have a rod for just jiging or punching. I'm running 4 rods 1 jig/punch rod(7'6mh veritas with revo sx) then I use a tenacy ap cheapo combo for my cranks and weightless plastics then I have a frog/spinner/topwater rod(7'lightning rod with pflueger echlon) then a bps extreme 6'6 spinning rod and ex40 sized reel for everything else mostly wacky rigs and finese presentations.

Is it just me or has the topwater bite disapeared no mater where I throw it and when I don't get bit now. I got 1 like 2 weeks ago but it was a dink

We did like a woodland theme I guess u can call it all cartoon deer,fox,coons,birds stuff like that no camo though I tried though. I grew up with a chaston that's where she got the name from I like it but I like my choices better lol I picked Elias. Another not so common name but more common then chaston. Ill be deployed for a year starting after thanksgiving. When I get back Noah will be ready for a new pole maybe the new "like Ike" combo from abu and then this guy can use the sponge bob one.

Oh yeah noahs all boy I hope this ones the same. Noah turned 2 in may and he's already helping in the horse barn feeding them and scooping poop outa the stalls not to mention the fishing and hunting he loves to do both exept hunting is crawling threw the yard with a plastic gun going "shhhhhh bunny pow dead" or telling u he shot the bucks on the wall. I was around for noah the first 2 years so I could brain wash him to be an outdoorsmen but I leave for afghanistan in november so I'm missing all the fun stuff with this baby.

Oh yeah noahs a bruiser his new thing is to box and he's only 2 he puts his fists up like the old irish boxers and tells u to "put em up" then once u do he growls and comes charging in knocking ya over then stends over ya telling ya get up and put up. Thanks Haha yeah his brother was bigger though noah our 1st was 10-2 21in. They took this one early because we make giant babies lol. Idk where they get it from I was small till a few years ago my wife was small till I knocked her up and our families are all smaller framed people besides my dad who's just tall and skinny. However our babies are tanks lol

Why would u fish for dinks? Just a thought but small bass will bite big jigs as well I got a 10incher real early in the season on a AT grass jig 1 1/2oz with a whole stanley ribbit as a trailer. I wasn't expecting it usually that big gal weeds out the dinks for sure

Yeah def possible we catch the lanes at Ft. Drum onfire almost every time we qual. And the 223(5.56) is a good rnd we shoot our m4 on the saw range at 800meters all the time with just a 4x acog

Well it started 9months ago but now were in the final hours. We leave for the hospital at 6am to have a c section. My wifes freaking out and can't sleep she's nervous and I'm not much help I just keep asking if he will like fishing like our first son noah who is 2. I'm exited to see what this ones gonna look like and be like I kinda feel bad cuz I'm gonna compare him to our first idk if that's normal or fair maybe just temporary idk who has more then 1 kid did u compair them when first born lol.

I teach 11th and 12thgrade and done hand out homework so my kids can fish haha. No but when I was in school I fished more then then I do now I never got the best grades though either if I wasn't on the river I was chasing cheerleader tail. You probably get home at what 230 3ish if you do homework or study for say an hour or even 2 that leave plenty of time to fish everyday

Try a tube as well they work great for me in the river for smallies

I made one cast with it and hated it I'm taking it back. The d**n "live image" print or what ever came off on the first cast now I got a gold spoon I don't understand.

Thanks for all the info most the gaurds are pretty soft not to stiff just a little long some are easily half inch above the hook just seemed a little long to me

I do it a few times a year but it always is on top waters ill catch em throw it back and see it swim back to the spot or close by ill see a little swirel or wake when it spinns around or darts there throw the same frog right on there nose and bam fish on again. Iv also patterend bass on 2 of my honey holes where I will pull up to a piece of cover throw a lure and know 99% without a doubt I'm gonna catch the same bass I caught a week earlier on the same lure. Iv got at least 9 good bass over 4lbs I know there address and will put a jig or devil spear knocking on there door getting bit the first cast every time

Being from buffalo I'm a bills fan but there almost garrentied to flop they suck lol but I don't follow football anymore. I used to just in the end of the season to see who was going to the big game and it gave me a reason to get hammered but now I'm sober and could care less bout football.
