I swing 5+s with a cheap tenacy combo all the time it doesn't break its a Med its spooled with 10lb mono. I also swing em outa the slop with my MH lightning rod no prob both are cheap quality rods

Idk if there is anywhere maybe a local shop can give ya a discount if u order in bulk. I use them for trailers as well but went threw 3 on 3 fish 1 being a tiny rockbass both claws came up missing after every fish.

I used to love to run now I hate it with a passion ever sense I got married it seems like my will to do anything but fish has gone and disapeared. I used to run a 5 flat in the mile during hs my best 2 mile for the army is a 13:59.

Yeah that's why I want the wireless I called in one almost every time last season with the mouth call but id get spoted if alone usually but I still smoked em it worked a lot better with a partner id sit back behind him and call he always got a shot of but missed most the time

They have 2 spinning out fits each and tons of cranks and spinners. I figure if they crank and I cover jigs and plastics we should have it covered cuz cranks are my weakest area. There's a lot of trees submerged from when it was flooded in the 20s the temp was 84 saterday I'm sure it will be close to that Sunday the 31st and it was clear till the skiers came out. All the docks are in really shallow and choked with thick mats like the lime greenish moss like crap that my 1 1/2 oz grass jig couldent punch. Current is almost nil now that the power plant is shut down for construction. All the bass seemed to be in bare water with a rocky bottom only 1 was caught around some cover and that was at the mouth around the stumps and grass.

Yup I notice that the most it seams ill be draging and ill just loose all feeling so I reel in slack quick and usually feel it either swimming at me or away and swing for the stars

I have a tournament coming up Sunday this is my first bass only tournament. Its a 3 man team tournament so me and a guy from work are gona do it with his son 3 lines more chance of hooking something. The problem is the guy from work and his son never bass fish they troll for everything. They want to learn how to bass fish so they always take me out on there boat to show them. We went out and practiced on the lake saterday and wed caught a limit 4 of which were from me flipping a jig all in the 1.5 to 2 lb range. The lake is kinda hard to fish and its got tons and tons of jet skiers on it. Where should we start though idk if we should run all the way to the mouth where its shallow with submerged weeds and stumps first thing or wait till later to hit that. There's a few small coves as well I pulled some decent fish out of. But for the most part the lake is deep with isolated humps we marked tons of fish on and sharp ledges. I pulled 3 good ones off the ledge draging a footballhead parralel to it the bites came soon as it droped off the ledge they were suspended there waiting. We found a lot of humps or hills and then holes that marked tons of good sized fish on them but I couldent catch one to save my life. I'm wondering if I should get some cranks this week and try cranking it or should I stroke a heavy jig threw there or c rig. I was reading the c rig is good for the ledges as well when the weight goes over it drags the bait behind it a few feet and generates strikes. I was also thinking a spinner slow rolled but I don't have any big heavy spinners. Where would u start first ledges or shallow weed beds the things running 5 till 1 so I'm just thinking cover as much as possible as fast as possible or should I just mark some fish and try picking them apart. Its a tough lake so I think with at least 5 we will place even if its a small 5

What calls do you guys use for predators. I have a johnny stewart but I hate it the cord always breaks and I have to splice it. I picked up a foxpro hand call and love it I called in way more with that thing then the elctronic. I was thinking of picking up a foxpro firestorm this season so I can go wireless with the call.

It was ok usually I catch tons of big bass in this spot all large mouth I didn't know there were smallies it was a nice surprise. But I was catching pike and crappie the pike were all in the 24-30" range one was pretty good sized close to 36" actually I thought it was a big bass at first, crawling a jig with a rage trailer felt the line go slack from him picking it up slamed the hook home felt big just to get it to the canoe and see a lazy pike not fighting.

Put it away for college and use it to pay off college so u don't have to take out a loan then default on said loan and ruin ur credit. Depending how much u get this may take all of it but in the long run u won't have that college loan haunting u for many years to come after college.

My buddys 26 got his masters still living at home with his parents because he's dumped so much into his 69 firebird I think he's up to 32k last I talked to him.

Went out Friday night flipping jigs into some heavy cover in a local river for bass and ended up catching crappie and pike on my bass tackle. I did get my 5bass limit but I also got 2 big crappie and 6pike. I didn't get pics of my pike I do canoe side releases with the slimy buggers. The crapie were probably pushing 17" they were huge in the one pic I'm wearing size 10.5 shoes and its almost twice the size when right next to my foot for compairison. The crappie came on rage craws and a 5/0 flipping hook the few bass and pike all were on a football jig and the biggest bass was on a havoc devil spear. I got more pics but the wifes on my case to go to bed ill post more in the morning no giant bass like the other night but still a good day
