A certain ethnic group here eats them I'm not being racist but I feel weird going up to them saying " y'all want these carp" when younger they used to come up to me and ask for them if I got one.

Nice WTG I got that same lure and haven't caught anything on it maybe ill try throwing it again my next outing. You'll get that record for sure if she makes it a few more years or if there's bigger in that pond

I tried the lipless crank thing the other week and was killing em yoyoing them along the docks I was bank fishing so the lipless was the only option because the docks were on the other side of the river. I would just cast paralell to the dock I even got good at doing a side arm hail marry skipping the trap under the docks and pontoon boats I got a few walleye this way to.

There may be more options when they are finaly released and not presale isn't that how it was with the veritas and so on. I also want to set up the same combo but I'm waiting till next fall when I get back from afghanistan I also want to pick up the new 7'11 veritas flipping stick and the 7' veritas toro cranking stick for lipless cranks

Iv always wanted to but I like to use what I kill and I don't see any use of shooting a carp to just let it lie on the bank. The only exeption I make is with ground hogs vet bills are to much to let the horses break there legs on the holes from the d**n things. But carp I don't see the point unless maybe use them to fertilize a garden I guess

I used to all the time during salmon season when I was a kid we would shoot more coons,fox,coyotes during salmon fishing then we did running dogs they would be picking at the dead salmon on the banks and weed smoke em with the .22mag they didn't even care that we were there. Now I will in certain spots to keep ground hog populations in check on 2 of my buddys farms I fish the pond and river that runs threw the farm.

I use the snag proof mouse and boss rat more then anyother topwater frog/mouse

Yup I'm slowly getting rid of all my plastics for rage products every time I go to gander mountain I load up then give my old plastics to my nephew

I would think it would because they just killed off all there hiding spots and ambush points not to mention oxygen producing plants in the hot summer months

What's a good follow up for a jig if even possable. The other day my nephew lost a solid 5lber due to his drag being loose and flipping brush and logs with an UL he thinks its a challenge which is is but he losses 99% of the fish. What would I follow up with to cach the fish I kinda figure they won't bite again after tasting steel already and being fought briefly but on the same note iv also tossed a bass back just to catch the same fish on the next cast so anythings possiable I supose. So what would I follow up with he uses a jig or wacky rig usually I tried the same lures but my way and only landed a 6inch dink lol.

U need to get u some rage craws and shad or thumpers u will see quickly

Yeah everyones on the water or golfing I'm guessing I have noticed there's more late night posts though atleast seems that way for me on the east coast when I check in the morning there's a ton of new posts made at like 3am

I have 3 spots like this 1 is pretty well known but no one realizes what's out there they just think its loaded with gills and carp and to thick with weeds to fish little do they know the avrege bass is 3+ I don't think iv got one under 2 outa there. Plus this one spot is on main street right next to the school so plenty of people see it just don't fish it.

I have a 76mh casting veritas and beat the living snot out of it bewtween cramming it in my little 4door car, sending it into the abyss to knock jigs free, getting caught up in trees well walking over grown trails to get to spots, raming the bank with it poking out the back the canoe when not paying attention. It definitly takes a beating that no rod should ever go threw and mine has yet to break all that's happend is iv bent a few eyes so I bend em back and am good to go. Plus this thing is light and sensitive.

John it is the same place we went so far my only luck has been that creek where the bridge was specificly that pvc pipe I pulled the pike and bass out of. Maybe the dye is bloom I'm not sure iv never seen it befor and its only on the end by the dam and along that last bank we hit. Iv hit that same stretch of bank also and befor the construction I was nailing them now its bare not even blue gill.

Iv rolled coyotes at 100yds with singleshot .410 idk the make cuz its completly unmarked it has a screw for a front bead but it sure throws a slug nice

The topwater bite has completly stoped here the other week I caught 20+ on the rage shad and other top waters now my past 2 outings to my secret hole have been big goose eggs on the topwater and all my bites are coming from cranks and spinners I even got a 6.5lber last time on a rage anaconda after working the area with a spook and buzzbait I could cried but oh well still tied with me pb for the year just not topwater
