I guess my sons at home asking to go my wife said he's walking around looking for me going "daddy pole (insert fish lips face) me" wich is 2yr old for daddy take me fishing. He's gonna be upset when I go out without him today I'm going for bass by myself today after work. Its not a bad thing though I got him brain washed young to go fishing everyday.

I fish mostly watermelon with red or green flake but my new fav has quickly become bama craw with the rage craws I don't leave home without 5 packs of em

We went out again last night for about an hour to the same spot caught a few but not that many the water level came up some and it was windy. My son was exited to go but once there he was more intrested in keeping me with a constant supply of worms for my wife. He fished a little bit but not much but he sure made my proud just playing with the worms. He's usually as much as I hate to say it girly when it comes to the worms or fish or anything really. He usually screams and points going "ewwww ucky ucky ucky" but yesterday he was all in the worms playing with them he seen me cuting them in half so he started riping them in half then in half again laying them on his tackle box for me. Once we got on some gills he was all for touching them today no screaming like befor he would pet there tail sniff em go "ewww" then stick his tounge out at it almost licking it haha. It was great then to top it all off he seen me take a tick in the woodline so guess what he had to do for the rest of the night he ran to every bush or tree yelled "pee pee" and demanded he peed like daddy. We tried to let him but he still dosnt get the concept I think he just stood there thing in the wind yelling pee pee and grunting like he's pooping thank god he didn't lol.

I usually wear my work boots which are my old original issue bates combat boots. If not them then my saucany sneakers. I gave up flip flops and fishing years ago when I sliped on some rocks because the flip flops broke and I ran down the steep bank of large pointy rocks barefoot to keep from faceplanting or breaking my arse.

I'm not knocking anyone I just can't grasp it even football or anysport on tv besides fishing that's a given. Id much rather be there in person iv never been one to sit home screaming at a tv because some player fumbled or missed a layup or what ever it may be.

I'm on break at work and the only thing on tv is womens tennis. Idk how anyone can watch tennis or golf especialy on tv the only good part is the one girl is hot.

I never played HS sports it interfered with work and fishing I did how ever play paintball from 10 till still playing and back in 06-08 I was playing in the AXBL ,CXBL, NPPL and a few trips to toronto to play in skyball. Played with pro team Rochester rythm and semi pro sister team Brooklyn Style.

I have a 5'6 bps wally marshall crapie rod I threw a sedona on for wading small secrete creeks that happen to have some large small mouth in them like avg 4lbs usualy with occasional 5s and 6s. Now that's a fun fight smallmouth on a little UL and 4lb test

There's tons of them things in the lake I fish they like bass jigs by the way

I took my 2 year old out fishing today for his first outing where it was all about him and not him following me around bass fishing. The wife decided to tag along as well she didn't trust me lol. So we went to a marsh on the rez with a cane pole some worms and gulp maggots oh and the sponge bob pole. We fished for 2.5 hrs it was non stop action the whole time noah managed to catch 4 by himself with the cane pole. How he accomplished this I'm not sure because he was whacking the water with the pole making a ton of comotion trying to scoop the hydrilla with the pole. But he did catch 4 little blue gill wich he was exited about but terrified of. It was off and on with my son his attention span well he doesn't have one haha if he wasn't fishing he was throwing the gulp into the water feeding the sunfish yelling "ummy fishy" I think he dumped 3/4 of the can of gulp but he would pick it up and hand it to me or my wife with the saying "ummy fishy" then tell us to put it in the water. We caught upwards of maybe 50 bluegills and pumpkin seed if I had to put a number on it. I swear he is a bass fisherman at heart though when he used the spongebob pole I would cast it as far as I could hand it to him and he would just reel it right back in twitching and pausing. Once it was back he'd scream bloody murder run to a diffrent spot and tell me "pole water" telling me to cast here. He worked a good 50ft section of bank running around never sitting in one spot. I think next time I'm gonna put a mr twister or fuzzy grub on for him under the bobber see how he does with that or maybe a senko. Ill post pics in a moment I gotta sort threw and resize them

I usually never fish with live bait I had to make a special trip for hooks and sinkers for live bait I didn't even have anything to use. We went today with worms and gulp but that was with my son for his first fishing trip centered around him ill most bout that later when I resize the pics.

We gave each spot bout hour and a half I only had 1 hit in the last spot but missed it. Were gonna try later in the week with some large shinners there were tons of fish busting minnows on the banks.

I own a veritas 76mhf and love it the only thing I would change about it is the hook keeper my line gets caught on it when flipping some times. That could just my in experience in flipping and pitching but other then that I love it. Extremly light weight and sensitive. I beat the heck out of it and I haven't had any breaking or other issues people are reporting like them breaking the tips off.

Looks very effective looks like a shakey worm wacky riged with a machine screw in the head of it or a nail weight. I'm gonna try it out next outing
