Well my wife bought me a jersey last augest a iaconelli jersey to be more specific. He's my favorite angler so she thought I would like his jersey and she's was right id love it but here's the deal its now june the following year and I still haven't received the jersey. At first I thought she was full of it till she showed me the packing slip that came with it. She never gave it to me saying I didn't deserve it because I'm an a hole lol. Well some time went and I was a nice guy and asked if I could have it she said I could but she can't find the jersey. Its been almost a year and she still hasn't found the jersey and she thinks she threw it out or donated it to the goodwill on accident! So now with fathers day coming up she wants to order me a new one but I won't let her because I'm thinking of our soon to be born son and I don't need a 300 dollar jersey. Part of me wants to strangle her for loosing the first one by hiding it all over the dam apartment so I wouldent find it.

Shad master that's usualy how I get the crap off is plucking it but I try the rod high technique but I miss almost ever strike because I have a hard time setting the hook with rod tip high and this on spot I was at there's a big bush directly to my right so I can't sweep the rod to the side.

So mid june seems to be the majority of when it stops but something tells me its gonna last longer everything is messed up this year. My normal spots for lilly pads and thick grass mats are completly bare water right now with not a green plant or fish for that mater in sight. Lots of cotton crap though

what action is the rod I have a cheap quantium tennacy ap combo that's a 66m rod with 12lb trilen xt and I can throw some UL lures and weightless plastics a pretty good distance

Looks like the houses in the netherlands my mom sent me pictures of when she went there back in april.

Well iv been out a few times now sense iv been back home and I haven't seen to many bass on there beds iv seen some mostly smallmouth in the river. The large mouth iv seen em cruising and sitting in some weeds but they don't want anything to do with any lure closest iv got to a hit was on flukes weightless just dead sticking em. They would just push the bait with out even opening there mouth. One did strike it after 20 minutes of ticking it off it was like 1lb covered in black spots. So it almost seems like they spawned already but they sure don't want to eat that's for sure.

That stupid cotton crap blowing off the trees into the water. I hit the pond behind my apt after looking down the hill at it and seeing some 5+ bass cruising the lilly pads I grabed my poles and headed down there but a few casts into it my line had little cotton balls in it. Robbed my casting distance like crazy on my spinning gear and the BC just back lashed like crazy because it got stuck in the eyes of the rod or level wind. This stuff is such a PITA is there any way to combat it or no. I did notice braid seemed to gather it the worst where flouro wasn't to bad maybe because it sinks and that crap floats on the surface.

Iv been geting tons of hits just boils or smacks no hook ups till I throw a follow up lure. If it were a follow up lure tourny id be killing it right now lol.

I don't fish batavia much because I don't know many areas besides that big quarry there across from lafarge construction. I fish albion and the alabama swamps mostly with both are 15min from batavia

Our CO wasn't around we walked over our selves we get big boy rules lol. Then to top it off one of the other company's here stole our guide on last night from 3rd platoon so this morning was spent scouring the fob looking for it and stealing everyone elses and stacking them infront of our company's formation. Our motto for when called to attention is "Get some!"

Wow people just were pushing buttons today. Today was my last day of training in Ft. Drum for this years AT/PMT suposed to be recovery today. Well the first part of the day went as expected exept siting at MATES in a wind storm in a sand parkinglot for 6hrs right after making my M4 spotless but ok that's a easy fix. So we get back to our make believe FOB get rushed do a quick sensative items check by the s/n then run off to get a new id card mine expired 3 weeks ago the day I got here. So I grab my weapon head off to do my thing and there's a long line but that's fine at first how long could it take if I were to go to the armory in rochester it takes 20minutes on a bad day. Well there computors were slow today it was taking 30min to an hour per person and I was the 18th guy back so yeah do the math and this was at 1700(5pm). Some guys left due to the line I made my way up to the 3rd guy back and got yanked outa line to go to a dumb briefing. The Ssgt that pulled me told the POG's(person other than grunt) to let me and the 2 other guys from my company back inline. So we get back and what do ya know the pogs don't give us our spot back inline. So here ya got 3 angry infantrymen 1sgt and 2 specialists that have been out in the field for 2 weeks without showers or real food. Were edgy to say the least but we don't do anything but make some loud comments about a perticular pog. And a 1st lieutenant heard us and came over told this medic from peru to let us back inlineahead of him we had been there for 5 hours waiting. So the guy just nods saying ok and the lt walks away well when the next person is called what's the guy do he jumps up and wedges himself past our sgt to get into the door to go ahead of us. I thought sgt was gonna kill him sgt is like 230lbs stacked with 2 tours under his belt and this pog was like 130lbs green fresh outa basic showed no respect to Ncos and commisioned officers. So after waiting an hour 20 for that guy to finish and the station to close with out getting my new id or the other guys ids fixed. So in all that time we got nothing done and missed our chow missed our shower time slot missed the px run for goodies and now gotta clean our gear befor we go home in the morning. Well everyone else is racked out sleeping. When we shoulda been done hours ago. Sorry had to vent people make me mad especialy pogs but to those of u military on here or ex military no disrespect or hard feelings if you wernt a 11bravo making urself a pog your not all bad especialy if u like bass fishing.

Hmmmm this is intresting to read cuz ill be back to fishing finaly tomorrow after 3 weeks of training in ft drum. I mostly fish ontario shores and tributarys so ill give ya some input once I get out there I might buy a pole on my way home tomorrow so I can hit some waters around batavia

I use 100% deet that I get at walmart some times it works some times it don't like the skeeters here on military posts at least at ft drum seem to like the stuff for an appitizer befor laying into me. But it seems to work at home when fishing.

What are the bass doing in wny like the roc and buf area. Are they spawn still pre or post spawn blues or summer patterns. Free tickets to get in and the women there was eye candy everywhere what more could a 18yearold guy ask for beside over time paid in budwiser. My crapy jobs list is pitching hay bales at 12 years old, janitor in a factory at 15 till 18 part time, fed ex was a cool job but sucked unloading and loading the trucks it got hot in them trailers

Idk if its me but iv now witnessed 2 people get struck by lightning in my lifetime both times were at a range in the military. The first was in basic on our FTX 10minutes after I was releaved of my squad leader dutys for the FTX and had a prior service corp. Take my spot we got hit with a tornado and he got struck by lightning well grabbing his rifle off a tree. He survived just knocked out briefly hospitalized then returned back to us later that night. Well today same thing guy went to grab his rifle after a storm rolled threw picked it up and the ground or something was charged he got zapped good lost feeling in his arm went to the hospital and is now back at our make believe fob joking about it. Its just insane you would think its not that common but then again we run around with metal guns in fields maybe its not uncommon in the military.
