Not a real good day only got two small bass on worm, but still had fun. the fishing seems to be tuff for me for some reason,water is kind of clear and everything is suspended and on bottom. maby i will have better success at lake mooney next week.

For me ,Tungsten because i can feel bottom MUCH better,every little rock .i feel the bite much better also.

sounds to me like you used braid on that reel and it has cut a slite groove in your top guide, thats whats cause line to fray. run some cotton over your guides and see it it hangs.

FRY , i like that idea ! that sounds easy for me to do sence hands don't work too good tieing knots. i will be useing crankbaits, spinners, worms.i want to use this knot because i read that it is twice as strong as the palomar knot. thanks for all the responces.

Is this knot just for braid? looks to be hard to tie useing mono or floro.

i would like to see pics myself, i have contour map that shows where they are but not a good depth finder, just one that hangs off side of jon boat. i have caught a few 4 and 5 pounders from hunting run and 1 - 7 1/2 lb bass.

when my bait gets into the hydrilla and i pull it up , the hydrilla has a strong smell of Garlic ! is it starting to rot ? or is it just the heat causeing this ?

would they also work for largemouth bass ?

reason i have bait so high above wt. is because hydrilla is so high above the bottom and i'am in a fresh water reservoir thats used for drinking water for the county.

So i will try to cast bait out,either useing wacky style or some sort of plastic. prob is i have to have bait about two feet above sinker because of grass so that the fish can see it . Is that to far to try to dropshot ?

when useing swim baits, do most of you put the tail up or down on a weighted hook ?

Can you use these hooks for wacky rigs ? would it be a good idea ? they both seem like they wouldn't get hung as much as the drop shot hooks.

This stuff is starting to grow in resorvoir and it's a pain, couldn't find the fish yesterday abut found that mess !wend down to a 3/16 bullet wt. fishing deep but all i still got was grass lol. nothing on crankbaits. finally got a 2 lb'er on a small crankbait, but better luck next week .

went to the Ni reservoir in spottsy co. 1- 3 lb bass - 1 pike and 1 white Bass . maby do better thursday at Hunning run resv. Good luck All !

went to the ni resv in spottsy co. this morning for 2 hrs and got 2 nice bass, was a little over 5 1/2 other was about 1 1/2 lbs. 1 on swim jig( i will say green with a rage craw trailor ) and other was on a keitect swimbait on a weighted hook.
