Help With Crankbaits - Please
It is weird like RW said you can have 5 of the same crank and maybe only one or two of them catch fish even though they all run good and straight! I don't know why but when you catch fish on a certain crank hold it in high regard!

Shaky Head Rod Questions
Funny how different everyone is! I would always spend more on a spinning rod rather than a baitcaster rod! Maybe being from up north is part of the reason.

Skeeter Vs Ranger
This is my take! When you have good weather nice calm days all the little things in the boat make each boat different. You may like the looks of this one over that one or this cooler looks better than this one. Now, when the weather turns bad and you are on something like lake Erie with 3-5 foot waves and you need to get back now, I would not be caught in anything but my ranger! I know no matter what I am getting home!

How Far Up The Line (Shimano Guys Look And Speak)
Shimano stradic fj on eBay for under 140.00! This is the best spinning reel for the money on the market today! Of course that is just my opinion!!

Shaky Head Rod Questions
I would go with medium. I have a crucial in 7 foot medium that I use for shakey head and I would not want to go any lighter. I know you said that 150 is your cut off but if look hard enough you may be able to find a st croix legend tour bass for around 200. This is a sweet rod! Also I have not used them but you can defintely find an avid for that price range and you would be set! I like shimano rods but I think the st. Croix are a little stiffer in the same action compared to other rods which I like. Keep looking and do some research there maybe something a little better out there than the crucial! I guess I am just not that happy with mine!

Cold Weather Gloves!
Never thought of golf gloves! Thanks! Yes, the Simms did feel good! I keep seeing sealskinz but they sold out a while back. They now go under the name hanz. They look good.

Cold Weather Gloves!
I tried the Simms on the other day at the local store and the cuff ripped slightly! They felt nice but they need to watch the quality control. I read some reviews on them and it seems to be happening to a lot of people.

Cold Weather Gloves!
Thanks, I was looking at them but they looked a little thick. I will have to try a pair on!

Cold Weather Gloves!
I am looking to buy a pair of gloves to fish with early in the year and was wondering what does everyone like (or not like). My only real concern is that they have to fit tight so I can still fish with spinning gear and not lose much feel. They also have to be full finger. My hands just cannot handle the cold anymore! A few years back I believe I got a small case of frost bite on both and ever since they hurt extremely bad when they get cold! Any suggestions would be appreciated I can then do some research from there! Thanks!

Anyone Else Using Braid+Flouro Leader For Finesse?
Sunline sx1 with a 6 foot leader of fluro is awesome! Used it up Erie last summer for dropshots and won't drop again without this setup! The sunline sx1 sinks slightly so you don't have to worry about the slack.

Roboworm Storage?
I was not aware of them making a green pumpkin color!?

Roboworm Storage?
Since we are on the topic of roboworms does anyone use them for shakey heads? Also if you wanted to choose a color that is closet to a green pumpkin zoom worm what color would you choose? Robo is the best drop shot worm I have ever used but for some reason I have not played around with it as a shakey worm!

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Help!
I put a pair of pliers on the two wires that connect to the switch under the push button on the pedal and got sparks. So I think there is power to that point.

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Help!
Hey guys, I was fishing yesterday and everything was fine then all of a sudden my trolling motor would not turn on! The batteries are good and checked the main breaker. One second it worked the next nothing. Got it home and still will not work. It is a 65 maximum with foot pedal. It will not work on momutenary or constant. Any ideas? I was thinking the switch under the pedal but I have no idea. Any help would be greatly apreciated!

Drug Tests And Professional Anglers
I will agree to disagree so not to start an argument, but taking steroids or certain PEDs absolutely will help and benefit a professional fisherman! Just my opinion!!
-
Drug Tests And Professional Anglers
I know of people who use PEDs and I think they would absolutely help in fishing! If you were cranking or throwing a spinnerbait for 8 hours it would help you. However testing for these drugs is very expensive and I would not expect any of the tournament trails to implement this due to the cost.

Anyone Else Find Spinning Reels To Be Super Awkward?
I have always notice this; most people that live up north are more comfortable with spinning gear than people from the south! I don't know why but I have always noticed that trend. I love fishing both but when I need to catch a fish I pick up my spinning gear!

Drop Shot Braid Or Fluoro
I just finished a trip to Erie and did nothing but drop shot. I was always a mono guy but this year I stepped it up! I used the new SX-1 braid in 10# with 6# fluro leader attached by using the Albright knot! I would have around a 8' leader then I use vmc dropshot hook. This system worked very well for me and made the sensitivity of my rod go through the roof! I caught numerous fish in the 3# class with a few over 4# and did not have any problems. Use what you like because if you try stuff you are not comfortable with you will worry about your line and not what is going on under the water!

When To Use Drop Shot
I fish only in the day. If your lake has grass the deep edges is always good. For deep clear lakes I fish points and edges of creek channels that have bait around. This time of year I tend to target 10-30 fow.

When To Use Drop Shot
Whenever you want to catch fish!...lol.. Summertime is when I use it the most!
