  1. Get a cloudy day with some wind find a point or flat back in a cove or creek with the wind blowing onto the point or flat and throw one! If you find a spot where the wind is blowing directly onto you will catch them on one! Just be sure to use a trailer hook!
  2. I am surprised on how many people have no faith in spinnerbaits! Not too long ago (10 years or so) it seemed as if everyone on the lake was throwing them.
  3. Anyone have some pics of the pre rapala?
  4. I don't know if this counts but I HATE a Carolina rig! I fish jigs and drop shot and shakey and love them all but can't stand that c-rig!
  5. It would be a replica!
  6. Thanks for the replies.
  7. Ok I really would like to mount a smallmouth or largemouth this year. I was wondering what size would you all consider getting a replica made? I am from south of Pittsburgh so there are some big fish here but if I wait for a 10# I will be waiting a long time..lol... I am thinking for largemouth anything over 6 pounds and for smallies any over five ( unless it comes from Erie then it would have to be over 6 closer to 7).
  8. Oval rings are nice to use although as long as you pay attention to where you tie your line to the ring you will be fine.
  9. We are here for you! We are all crank addicts!
  10. I have always heard this and somewhat believe it!
  11. Awesome thanks for the post!
  12. I agree! One big bag is way better than multiple ones. Also don't forget to chip in for gas! That is the one thing that always got under my skin is when at the end of the day and the co-angler doesn't offer any money at all.
  13. Under 12 inches= dink 1-2#= small 2-3#= nice 3-4#= good one 4+= bigun That's just me though! Remember a 2-3# smallie will give you a run for your money!
  14. Hair jigs, squarebills reeled slowly just bumping cover! Water warms the rocks and stumps and the bass will hold tight for the warmth smack the stump and bam 3 pounder! Good luck!
  15. Guido hibdon, Greg hackney Jason Christie.
  16. I am no reel mechanic but it might be possible one of the spool bearings got bent even slightly. Hope this helps.
  17. Dt fat 03, flat out catches fish! I have been preaching on here about this bait for years. Maybe I should stop and keep it to myself.
  18. Bluebasser do you sell them?
  19. How do you become a Marshall?
  20. When it was in Pittsburgh it was awesome. Already talking to my wife about going to Hartwell next year. I have to get back to one!
  21. Is it perfect? No, but this is not a controlled environment like football or baseball. Miles and miles of water to cover with 55 guys to try and keep up with. The finished product that you will see on espn 2 will be polished and much better. I did however love the live stuff all weekend and will continue to be glued to the computer every classic.
  22. Being from the Pittsburgh area i am upset that they won't be fishing any northern lakes with it being so early in the year, but it was a great classic! Plus it gets me pumped up for the season!
