  1. Mike, The kit that I just got does not "Pierce" any part of the mouth. The clips just hook to the bottom lip (sort of but not exactly like a clothes pin). I will post more information about the quality and ease of use for this product after I have had a chance to test it. JT Bagwell
  2. I have owned dozens of Pflueger reels over the years and I have only had one problem. That was with a Trion baitcaster the first year they came out. I was fishing frogs in heavy pads and I busted a gear or something inside. This was after several hard core pad fishing trips. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Pflueger. The fact that Pflueger is a subsidiary of Shakespeare (K2 Corp) has nothing to do with production. Brunswick owns Triton and Mercury but I highly doubt the bowling ball and air hockey divisions are making the Optimax Motors and TR20X bass boats. JT Bagwell
  3. I asked Jay Kumar about these rumors last night and he said he likes to take the "wait and see" approach, but he does not believe any of the rumors above. JT Bagwell
  4. For those of you that have seen the show called "Ultimate Match Fishing" what do you think about it? I never got the channel with my Dish package but I just ordered it today so I could watch that show and a couple others. Are they still getting new episodes of UMF or are they all reruns. What was the scoup with the episode I heard about with Swindle and Clausen? JT Bagwell
  5. You take bananas in the boat??? Big no no :-? lol JT Bagwell
  6. I would wait for all of the "facts" to come out before I got to excited about anything. So far this thread is the only place I have heard any of this information and to me that is a little odd. JT Bagwell
  7. You are right. Most people would probably be a lot more successful if they did that, Avid. JT Bagwell
  8. LOL That's funny. ;D JT Bagwell
  9. Mine did come in today so now I just have to wait for all of the ice to melt off of the river so I can get to using them. lol JT Bagwell
  10. If bagley will pay the guy he will talk all day about bagley. They wouldn't feel shafted because they put nothing into the guy so why would you expect something out of the guy. Bagley is lucky that people even know he was using bagley baits. when he won. I agree 100%. If a company pays me, then it is my job to mention the bait, rod, reel, etc, but if I am not getting paid, I don't have to say anything about anything. If everyone advertised for these companies for free, we wouldn't talking about sponsors and things of that nature because there wouldn't be any. JT Bagwell
  11. You got it man. JT Bagwell
  12. This is the one I just ordered and I think it came in today. It is the scale and culling clips. JT Bagwell
  13. I do not have any product knowledge for the "Gold" Medalist, but if it is anything like the regular Medalist it is a great reel. I would compare the specs on it and if they are the same, scoup up a couple. JT Bagwell
  14. Your tackle "box" should definately be a tackle "bag" The Plano bag and the Cabelas bags are both nice (I have both of them). Several years ago my wife bought me the huge Denny Brauer tackle bag from Cabelas. That thing is HUGE but it is good for tournaments that are out of town. You can load up a lot of backup tackle and keep it in the hotel for restocking purposes. JT Bagwell
  15. What are the rules you are talking about? Most of the "no information" rules that I have seen clearly state that you can not get info from "non-competitors," but I have not seen any that say you can not get information for people that are in the tournament. From BASS - During both the official practice and the tournament, a competitor may not have the assistance or advice of anyone for the purposes of locating or catching bass, nor enter the tournament waters with anyone who has been on the tournament waters during the off-limits period including, but not limited to, a professional guide, state or federal wildlife agency employee, or any other person deemed an "expert" on these tournament waters by the Tournament Director, unless they are a competitor in the tournament. From FLW - After the balance deadline date for each tournament (after July 2, 2007 for the Forrest Wood Cup) and during competition days, contestants, including those on the waiting lists and late entries, may not solicit and/or receive fishing information from any non-competitor other than publicly available information. 16. I was just guessing, I wasn't there so I really don't know. Hell, maybe he got out to take a leak. JT Bagwell
  17. Now that was funny. LOL JT Bagwell
  18. You guys have entirely too much money. ;D Us poor folks can't afford all that fancy stuff. lol JT Bagwell
  19. Minn Kota Maxxum for me. I beat the crap out of mine and they keep on going. I personally wouldn't be cutting the shaft on my trolling motor. I am sure it will void the warranty and possibly cause structural damage. JT Bagwell
  20. You can use 50# test PowerPro on your baitcaster and 15# or 30# test on your spinning reels. I know that seems high, but the line diameter is very small. Your Pflueger reels will have no trouble handling PowerPro in these sizes. All of my reels are Pflueger reels and almost all of them have PowerPro line one them. The only ones that don't are the ones that I throw crankbaits on. JT Bagwell
  21. He might have got into a camera boat. JT Bagwell
  22. I noticed a Terminator logo on his hat several times today during the classic. I would have covered it with tape or a magic market. JT Bagwell
  23. I would not own a boat without a hot foot. The only thing that sometimes is a problem for me is the very long runs. My leg starts to cramp from being in the same position for so long. JT Bagwell
  24. I am all about the Titanium Series from Columbia Sportswear. If it is warm you can take the liner out and in the Spring/Fall when it is cool (or Cold in my case) you can leave the fleece liner in. The pants and jackets are excellent in my opinion. JT Bagwell
  25. Unless something has changed this year, G. Swin is a Triton guy and has been for some time. He did something pretty stupid but I still think he is a heck of nice guy and a great angler. JT Bagwell
