  1. I never got the rod I ordered. If you google search for reviews on MidwestHuntersOutlet you will see they are 75% negative. They are a sub-company of TGSCOM Inc. and they run multiple 'cookie cutter' websites like MHO for hunting and outdoors equiptment.
  2. I bought a hunting scope from poorfish outdoors once, and returned it without a problem. Good company. NEVER order from midwest hunters outlet. They're a horrible company. I had to call American Express and have them refund my money for a rod.
  3. Storm Chug Bug and RI Swamp Donkeys are the best FL fishing baits you could ever use.
  4. I like my carrot stix, and I would buy another. To me, abu garcia stuff is cheap.
  5. I own 3 skeet reese rods. Drop shot, crankin, and senko toad. I would buy 3 more in a heartbeat. Wright & mcGill rods are a great value for the money.
  6. Look on ebay for the quantum AVISO. It's a discontinued model which was made for academy sports I believe...it has burner gears just like the higher end models and is an AMAZING deal for the price. They can be had for $30-50 shipped.
  7. I have 5 casting setups for freshwater, and only one spinning setup for finesse/light lures. Saltwater inshore on the other hand, all four of the setups are spinning. Not one baitcast.
  8. I found a place that has some but they are in Canada and they only have Lime Chartreuse left, 9.99 each.
  9. YoZuri hybrid can be had on amazon or ebay for $8 a spool of 600yds in any #, and powerpro is 10.99 for 150yds at dick's sporting goods right now.
  10. There comes a time in a man's life where he loves fishing so much, that looking at another man's rods is the only way to get through the week; until he can once again be fishing with his own.
  11. I would only go for the Ci4 if you can find a good deal on it, or you're going to balance it off well with at least a $100 rod. I use a 3000 Ci4 for saltwater use and it's an AMAZING reel, but I have it paired with a great rod, and I got the reel for $160 on ebay. (The guy thought it was a 'CL4' so no one found the listing ) If you get the IMX you can easily put a sub $100 reel, of there or even get a standard stradic for around $120 on ebay and have a great setup.
  12. Nothing wrong with a little tackle porn
  13. I have 4 quantum codes and have never had a problem. Only issue I've had was when I submerged one in water while kayak fishing, I lubed it when I got home and it's 99%.
  14. For me it's all about how much line between the tip of the rod and the lure, and where in my cast (what angle) I release my thumb from the spool at. To cast farther with lighter baits I release my thumb sooner into the cast, rather than later so it creates a bigger arc and goes farther.
  15. No, Orlando. They have W&M rods, the abu garcia's, and some other mainstream product lines.
  16. The rods I purchased were the new Flat's Blue rods, but yes there is a seller on amazon clearancing ***** reese rods for $64.
  17. I was at dicks's yesterday buying some new inshore rods, and at the register they came up cheaper than expected. Turns out there's a deal in the weekly flyer. It's $10 off rods $80 or less, $15 off rods $80-120, and $25 off rods over $120. It's SOMETHING LIKE this, don't quote me because I don't remember exactly (I know the $15 one is correct). My $99 Wright & McGill rods came to $84.99 before tax. This was a store in FL. Just thought it would help some of yall out...
  18. From RedsGear right? I have ordered two rods from them, both came in excellent shape and packaged with plenty of bubble wrap and giant tubes. I ordered both the $62 drop shot spinning and the 6'6 mag crankbait ***** reese rods from them two weeks in a row.
  19. I own 3 codes and 1 avid, no problems here.
  20. Spiderwire is the WORST. PowerPro is all I use, I may one day try out Suffix 832 though.
  21. I have never- literally never- caught a fish of any sort on a lizard I almost exclusively use brush hogs for fishing around and in heavy cover in the southeast and with VERY good results. Brush hogs are amazing.
  22. I have a Sahara 3000FD on my ***** reese drop shot rod and it's great. I think the 2500 would be ok also as your wont be getting spooled by any freshwater fish anyway....unless it's a 60lb gar
  23. First time I've bought new gear in almost 5 years for freshwater and inshore. Reels left to right: Stradic Ci4, Stradic 3000, Stradic 3000, Quantum Code, Quantum Code, Quantum Code, Quantum Aviso Rods left to right: Wright & Mcgill Blair Wiggins Flats 7'9, Wright & Mcgill Blair Wiggins Flats 7'6, Wright & Mcgill Blair Wiggins Flats 7'6, Wright & Mcgill ***** Reese Crankin Stick 6'6, Wright & Mcgill ***** Reese Senko Toad, Daiwa Team PRO-Z 7' Medium, Carrot Stix Wild 7' Heavy/Fast NOT SHOWN: Wright & Mcgill ***** Reese Spinning Drop Shot/ Shimano Sahara 3000 Spinning How did I do
