  1. Wow that's huge! 17 lbs 4 oz, from what I can find
  2. I've had the same problem with pline fluroclear 4 and 10lb. One thing I've notice with the spools I got is that the line doesn't feel consistently in spec with the diameter, which would make it weaker altogether. Seems like it was pulsating off the machine during the production.
  3. That it is! Also memorable was the first musky I saw while fishing, had a 50"+ tiger follow my bait I though about that, I'd rather save up and get a jon boat so I can enjoy boating with my family
  4. Welcome aboard!
  5. When will stock replenish in stores?
  6. Well it's in between two dams within 4 miles, the water is erratic. Last summer there were some portions only 3 foot deep.
  7. I've been waiting for the lake to warm up to catch some bass, so I've been playing in the Lehigh River (just started fishing here) close to the house, using the simple senkos. So far I caught my first fish of the year, a pickerel and a musky (first musky ever), nothing else in sight, at least from the shore. This is fun though since I don't have a preference, willing to catch anything and try out different gear as I go along. Today I landed my first crappie on the river. I'm starting to like to like river fishing, just need some waders 8-) I haven't seen any bass yet!
  8. Whatever walks by it, they tend to hide out in the weeds and wait for food to cross their path. I use to catch them on cranks, jigs, and 5" senkos
  9. Thanks for the comments guys Going back to my original post, the offereings from manufacturers are somewhat slim. Some models only fit some SUVs mainly large suburbans, so I have to say if you don't do it yourself and want to buy the store kits make sure it'll fit! Check the reviews if possible
  10. Depending on where you are you might have a real hobby shop near you, specializing in R/C, Models, Trains. Not like Michaels or Hobby Lobby. In a good Hobby shop you'll find Tamiya, Testors (Colors by Boyd, Model Master) etc. They have tons of colors, metallics, chromes. In modeling paints, doesn't matter much what goes though the brush, as long as you dilute it right. Some bottles will tell you the mixture and what to use to dilute. typically you paint thinner on enamels and with acrylics use distilled water
  11. Thanks guys. See I was searching the forums yesterday sucking up the knowledge, went out fishing today and landed my first 2 fish of the year, a pickerel and a musky Great forum indeed!
  12. Canoe Creek? Sounds nice, I'll have to check it out next time I'm out by the horseshoe Curve.
  13. Happened at a local lake here, we got a lot of rain in 2 days, flooding out most of the streams/lakes. It went back to freezing temps the next day. Came out there and saw 50+ panfish dead on the boat launch, nothing big though.
  14. Plan and simple, with butter in a pan
  15. Well the bolts are factory, from what I heard they are tie downs for baby seats, more reinforcement
  16. I looked around for one that would fit my needs, I couldn't find one though so I rigged one up myself. The SUV is a Mazda Tribute (cousin to Esacape/Mariner). I used household items you can find at retail stores. 2 - 35" Flat bungees Jagged soft foam, for gun cases Zip ties Double sided Velcro A driveway reflector pole 36" or so (broke off the reflector) I cut the foam to the width of the backseat hand grips and to about 6" wide. Then punctured the bungees through the ends of the foam and hooked them to the hand grips. Also zip tied the foam to the bungees in various places to prevent it getting pushed off. Toward the back, it was easier since there's 3 hold downs bolted to the roof. I used the rod from the reflector to zip tie various sized velco on (10 pieces) to hold the rods. Then zip tied the reflector rod to the 3 hold downs. And that's it. Things to note: My longest rod is 6'9", I haven't tried a 7' but if I ever get one I'll try it out. It's been 2 weeks and no problems 8-) And the finished pics....

  21. I can't stress this anymore than this... Do not go to physical theropy/chiropractor/physiatrist before seeing your doctor first. Hopefully he can help you take the next step to help/fix your problem.
  22. A black wifebeater in the delaware, it fought in the current good. I don't think i'll ever top my wife's catch of a diaper though :-?
  23. Not as seasoned as everyone else but Line: Gamma Rods: St. Croix, Cabelas XML Reels: Shimano Hardbait: Bombers Soft Bait: Yamamoto Storage: No preference
  24. I have been looking around for a bit and decided to join and say hi My wife and I started fishing last year and got hooked. For the beginning we've caught some good sized bass with junk setups, and eventually got better gear for more enjoyment and reliability. Only fishing we do is shore at lakes and the larger rivers (lehigh/delaware). I hope to learn a lot from you guys and gals, this is a great sport-hobby
