The jig bite might be the toughest of all to detect. Sometimes it just a tap, sometimes it's a tap tap, sometimes you won't feel it at all (just see your line swimming off), sometimes it will feel like you are caught up in alot of grass, and then sometimes you better be holding onto to your rod good. The absolute toughest is when you don't feel it and they swim towards you. That seems to happen quite a bit too. Biggest thing is to ALWAYS keep contact with your jig and know what your should be doing under water. If something feels fishy .... IT IS. It's a fish!!!!! ;D Reel up the slack line and let er; rip.

It almost gets to the point sometimes where if you have an "uneventful" time getting to the lake, it's just not worth it. They ain't biting. ;D ;D But that day you really have to work to get there ..... watch out

I posted some questions a couple weeks about getting into rod building. Not only did I get a ton of helpful input from various members, but Alpster contacted me and said he would like to send me a "few" goodies to get me started. Today it came!!!!! I am blown away. Looks legit to me although I don't know too much about Solar Bats. Seller has sold a ton of stuff and his feedback is good Another thing .... I would personally NEVER buy a pair of sunglasses I haven't tried on. That doesn't mean you can't buy from the net. Find a dealer for the sunglasses you are interested in if possible. A great pair of sunlgasses is useless if they are uncomfortable and don't fit right.

Let's see ..... EXACTLY one year ago today I was scouting spwaning beds at my lakes. Yesterday I mowed my lawn. This evening I went out for a few drinks, came out and had to clear SNOW OFF MY CAR. And it's still snowing. :-[ What the hell!!!!!!!

My best bud, Deuce Yellow Lab, 5 years old, 110 lbs. Best dog you could ever ask for. He has that love everyone personality. He grows on people very quickly. My grandfather, hates pets, loves Deuce. We boarded him when we went on vacation last year, everyone at the vet was sad to see him go. One of the vet techs even called us to ask if it was alright if she took him home instead of him having to stay at the vet overnight.

Woke up this morning and let the dog out and he absolutely bursted down the steps .... VERY ODD. There was a turkey in my backyard!!!!!!!! I live in a suburb of Kansas City. There should not be turkey in my backyard. I didn't know they could fly. I thought they were a flightless bird.

Got it on the stove as I type. Perfect Chili day. Cold and drizzly outside. Now .... only if I could find some football on the tube :

Over the past 3 years I have been searching for a good lipless crankbait set-up (mostly rod). I think I have finally found "the one" for me. It's a Shimano Compre Crankbait rod MH with a Moderate fast tip. Soft enough to keep fish on and strong enough to rip through grass. As for the reel, I have always used higher speed reels. Then I was watching a fishing show with KVD and said he fishes them on 5:1 reels. I thought that was kind of odd and went against everything I have ever read, but I think the guy knows a thing or two about fishing power baits. I tried it my last trip out ...... absolutely hammered em'. Maybe he is on to something. :

It's really not fair to compare the two. The new ones carry nearly twice the price tag. Of course the new ones should be better. I have found that to be true thus far. The old ones are as still as bullet proof as they come though.

I have voted in most of the bigger elections since I was of legal age. My school has class on election days.

I have both installed. Seems like some websites like Mozilla some like IE. I am just so used to IE, I use that 90% of the time. It just feels like home.
