  1. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. You just have to see what works.
  2. Worm: Creme Scoundrel Jig Trailer: Super Chunk Soft Swimbait: Sassy Shad Creature: Baby Brush Hog Beaver Type Bait: Super Hog Fluke: Super Fluke Topwater: Jitterbug, or Super Spook Jr.
  3. Compass and/or a map. Rope.
  4. In murky water I like black with red flakes.
  5. Dang! I'm glad no one was hurt too bad.
  6. I tried fluoro and didn't care for it. The only rig I have straight braid on is my punch rig. I figure that the bass won't be able to see it in all of that vegetation. All of the other baitcasters have 15# green Big Game spooled on them.
  7. I just got back from the Dr. and I have slight vertigo caused by congestion in my inner ear. It's a lot better than it was yesterday, but it isn't good enough to be standing in a boat. With the high temps this weekend maybe it will turn out to be a good thing.
  8. On Saturday, I would get on the canal and cast into the main part of the pond. I'd start out with topwaters, and make it big and noisy so the bass under the pads can hear it. Later on I would use a jig, or a t-rigged plastic worm, and target the edges of the lily pads.
  9. Jig fishing. You change the trailer and you have a completely different bait.
  10. The 5/8 ounce size.
  11. 3" Stik-o on a split shot rig, or a 1/8 ounce jig dragged as slow as I can without hanging on the bottom.
  12. Big black Jitterbug pulled just fast enough to make it gurgle.
  13. Years ago I hated pads. Now, if I can, it's the first cover I fish around.
  14. Jeez! I need to retire and go fishing more.
  15. I like the peace and quiet of fishing by myself.
  16. The only time I worry about being quiet is when I can see the bass and it can see me.
  17. I don't think bass fishing is more popular. I think it's advertised more.
  18. I prefer overcast days, but that usually means windy conditions.
  19. Heat doesn't really bother me as long as I have water. When I start running low on water I go home. With this heat I am taking 2 water jugs with me instead of my usual one.
  20. Good job and congratulations!
  21. I'm fishing in the mornings. I usually have something going on in the afternoons.
  22. Congratulations! A new PB is the best!
