  1. Well said Avid! I agree! When I take my daughter, I usually don't fish so I can devote time to teaching her... And don't forget tons of pics with big smiles.
  2. I voted 5 to 10 feet. In many of the lakes that I fish that is mid range.
  3. I use the Zoom Ultravibe Craw on a t-rig and I have had pretty good luck with it. I use some of the other plastic craw baits as trailers.
  4. I use them t-rigged with small weight and a 2/0 hook.
  5. I think color is more important in the shallows where more sunlight can get through. In deeper water I usually stick to the darker color baits.

Yep, that about sums it up for me too. Me three. Me four.
  7. Nice one!!!!!
  8. I have two 5'-6" pistol grips that I use for casting crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwaters. I stick to the longer trigger rods for plastics and jigs.
  9. Yep. I recently put new line on both of my spinning reels. I overfilled both of them and had the line loose. I trailed about 100 feet of line off behind the boat on one of them, and the one I didn't got tangled. I ended up cutting about 1/2 the spool off because it got knotted. I have learned my lesson big time.
  10. As of yesterday it has become the Booyah Baby Boo with Zoom plastic pork chunks.
  11. I have some older traps and you can feel the difference in the paint from the new ones. The only traps that I have had chip and flake off though have been the chrome w/ blue back. They seem to be flaking off just from casting them.
  12. Jigs around cover. If the sun is out I like to try and find spots where the fish will try and get warm like road beds in 3 to 4 feet of water.
  13. I like the Zoom Super Chunks. I will also use tubes with the front end cut off, plastic worms, and just about any other type of plastic bait I can get on the jig hook.
  14. Thanks for the info!!!
  15. 1/4 ounce Strike King Bitsy Bug.
  16. To go with a finesse baitcaster I have. Right now the reel is on a 5-1/2 foot casting rod and I throw light crankbaits with it. I would like to put it on a 6-1/2 or 7-0 foot rod and use 1/8 and 1/4 ounce jigs. Does anyone have any ideas for around $100?
  17. I would try some sort of a crawfish, tube, or a slug-o.
  18. I have one Lucky Craft Pointer that I have never had any luck on. I think I spent around 15 or 16 bucks on it.
  19. I leave the split rings on with the snaps. I think it actually give the crankbaits a little more action.
  20. I like the Slug-o and the fluke both. If they are not hitting on one they will be hitting the other one.
  21. I chose BPS, because I am 10 minutes away. I also like Gateway Outfitters. They offer some hard to find stuff in hard to find colors.
