Tomorrow morning is going to be rough for us East coast guys!

This is a win, win, win situation. Cam wins because he gets paid, the fans win because he is entertaining to watch, and the Panthers organization wins because those fans are going to buy a lot of tickets, concessions, merchandise, and jerseys.

I don't think he's worth it to most teams, but to Carolina, yeah, he's worth it. He's good for football in our state. It gives us a good player, who is a nice guy to cheer for. Good business move for both parties.

How'd the trip go?

That's the fish you're reeling in! I've never reeled a fish in so fast in my life! One of my buddies was gaffed it while I put my rod back in the holder. By the time I got to my beautiful fish it was dull grey. I told them that there was no way that was the same fish I had seen jump. They laughed again and explained that they lose their color fast when they die. Like most of the guys on here, I've been blessed to fish thousands of times in hundreds of great places. But, the first time going offshore will be a trip I will never forget. I hope you have a great time and make some lasting memories! Good luck!

The first time I went out we left before sunrise and were well offshore before the sun started to rise. I was taking it all in on one side of the boat, then glanced towards the other side and saw a weird looking ball just above the water. I asked the captain what it was. He just smiled and said, "The sun...." Never seen a sunrise like it before or since! I was the only first-timer on the boat so they let me reel in the first fish (a dolphin). I was looking at my line going off to the right side of the boat when all of a sudden the most beautiful fish jumped on the left side. The best way I know how to explain it was that it looked like a blue and yellow neon sign. When I saw it it said, "Wow! Look at THAT fish!" The other three guy's started laughing and said, Yeah,

I've caught five over 8 (including an 8-15), but never cracked the 9 barrier. My five biggest are right at 42.

I went to college in EC, and we pond hopped a little, but did most of our fishing on the river. If you have a boat get out there and fish those cyprus knees!

I agree that the greats you mention were exciting (the ones I got to see), but I appreciate Floyd's style too. He wins fights and makes a lot of money in the process. He probably wouldn't have been so successful if he embraced another style.

The point of a boxing match is to win. "Money" knows how to do that. If you want to see a brawl, watch YouTube. If you want to see a great boxer,Mayweather is your man. His style isn't always exciting, but it's effective. I enjoyed it. Now, of course I would have loved to see a KO, but by the tenth round, when we knew Manny would have to knock him out to win (and Floyd's defense was too good let that happen), Floyd wouldn't have chanced a knockout blow if Manny put his hands behind his back and stuck his chin out. Floyd boxes to win, and he's smart enough to know how to get the job done. Great fight by the greatest boxer of his generation.

I'm old school too. I killed four with the old round ball last year, all up close and personal. Now, I picked up my regular rifle later, but I enjoy the nostalgia of the old guns. Mine is a TC Hawkins passed on to me by my dad. He gets a big kick (and a few backstraps) out of me using it.

Turkey season came in today in NC. My hunting buddy and I doubled up by 7:30 this morning. Thanksgiving dinner came early this year!

Duke is playing on Monday for K's fifth!

Duke!!! Coach K back in the Final Four for a record-tying 12th time! Hope to see him bring home a fifth national championship!

LSU, Alabama, same thing...

Why is it that every football-related article/thread/news segment has to have an obligatory "football will kill you" disclaimer, even from people who love to watch/play the game? Sam, you're a big Alabama football fan. If you think those young men are putting their health, and perhaps their very lives, on the line for your mere entertainment, why do you watch? Oh, and Snook, your boy is as fast as a smallmouth in good current! Hope he gets faster, and has much success in the game, and in life!
