  1. I don't fish a lot of leaders but I think the protocol is to have the knot in between the first guide and the reel. Also, I would use a Double Albright Knot. Aaron Martens knows his stuff.
  2. I would go with the fast action too. I only use moderate for cranks or maybe one of those Hack Attack rods for braid.
  3. If you're asking if the blanks out there perform the same as a genuine Megabass? No. They might catch some fish but they're not the same.
  4. A ML crank rod would be for someone who has a large assortment of crank rods and likes throwing lighter cranks pretty often. If you're deciding between the two I would get the Medium. He may have been using a ML in the Classic because it was early in the year and some people believe the fish are stiffer in the cold water so the light rod would help him land more fish, maybe... Then again maybe it's a slow seller and they're trying to move some inventory.
  5. I'm actually getting in to spinnerbaits this year and probably 90/100 or higher will say a trailer hook is the key.
  6. At one time I would have disagreed and said I wanted a more durable plastic but now I agree. The Perfect Plastics and the Rage Tail are top of the line. Cost a bit more than they use to but they're super soft and come in great packaging that preserves the integrity of the baits. Also, that coffee smell may not matter to the bass but I love it lol.
  7. What didn't you like about it?
  8. Rage craws are hard to beat for me. Black/blue, sexy shad, and bluegill with matching trailers. I might try some Rage grubs/menaces this year though after all the recommendations I've seen. Could probably burn it really well with those menace tails rigged vertically.
  9. I'm gonna look around for a spinner/buzz 3700. Pictures of the box in use vary from site to site. Will have to see for myself.
  10. I guess it's been in production long enough the wire bending isn't a problem. Only problem is I have some heavy short arm spinnerbaits that I doubt would fit.
  11. I get the black 250 pack of small hair bands from Wal-Mart for $0.99. You have to double them over to fit the bait which is perfect. It creates an "X" if you will to nestle my hook through and I avoid the parallel hook that I'm not a fan of. Might just be a confidence thing but I never liked the parallel hook.
  12. Zoom trick worms. Available at every Walmart I've been to. Watermelon red for clearer water and black for darker water. Weightless, T-rig, shaky head, wacky, carolina... Fish it any way and catch fish. Always recommend to beginners.
  13. I like to use a full size Caffeine Shad with a 1/16 oz Weighted Superline Gamakatsu but if the water and sky are real clear and it's hot a spinning reel with a Jr. size Ghost Minnow and an Ultra Lock hook is the ticket. A KVD Magic with a charteuse lateral line is a killer too, when fishing a greenish water. They are extremely soft and tear easily but that is what makes them so good so get some soft bait glue for the body and might need to super glue the head to the hook eye. You can also take the extremely torn baits and make good spinnerbait trailers.
  14. Obviously, a senko is a fish catcher for sure but don't overlook the Zoom Trick Worms and Finesse Worms. You can get them at any Wal-Mart for half the price of Senkos and can be fished effectively with every technique there is.
  15. Small bream/craw but also keep in mind that almost all animals will try something that is put in front of them at the right time.
  16. I take my torn up Caffeine Shads and glue them together. The tail has a subtle wiggle that can get me a few extra bites. If they offer the new Caffeine Dream Shots in white I will just use those.
  17. 1) KVD Scorcher 1/2 ounce 2) Caffeine Shad 3) KVD 1.5
  18. 2/0 weighted hook Twitch it, jerk it, let it fall, and swim it.
  19. Those blew my mind.
  20. Where would one find clear heat shrink?
  21. Hahahahahaha but they sell so well as it is there's no need to offer lower prices at larger quantities.
  22. Rooster tails, Bitsy Minnows, and Strike King mini-3 cranks.
  23. I haven't had one break yet. Not to say that they won't but not yet.
  24. I like the King Shad and Baby King Shad in sexy sunfish for imitating bream and green gizzard for imitating shad. Wake it on the surface early in the morning and twitch it like a jerkbait when you have good cloud cover. I have some Sexy Swimmers but haven't used them enough to report on them.
