  4. The flint river is not too far from there. There is great smallmouth and shoal bass fishing there.
  5. My fishing has definately changed as my life has changed. Growing up all i wanted to do was catch a big bucketmouth. The memory of catching my first biggin on a fly rod is still fresh. while being in the military I was stationed out in the northwest and got to go after other species than bass. Now after some major life changes fishing is not just fun but an outlet for me, but as I have changed my understanding of fishing has changed with it. Now its not just about catching fish its bout getting out on the water and deciding whether I just wanna fish or go after a biggin and enjoying the results either way.
  6. I am going to have to check the wally worlds out near me.Thanks for sharing the info!
  7. I like the Spro little john DD and Norman DD22's. I also have a few Bomber BD7's that catch fish for but i made sure to put some VMC hooks on them first.
  8. Thats pretty cool! Thanks for sharing the pics. I caught a bass last year that still had a big bream in its mouth. Also Had a small bass on that got eatin by a bigger one while i was fighting him and broke me off so I know how u feel Sam.
  9. I have tried some of their EWG and dropshot hooks but none of the flipping hooks. Definately felt like I got better hookups but not convinced enough to keep spending the big bucks on them.
  10. Looking good!

Swimming hornet and Manns seem to the better A-rigs I've seen. Talked to a few guys that are rigging them to run on the bottom with craw style baits and doing good with it. Definately stoked about this bait and can't wait to try it out!
  16. If you are near stone mountain be sure to check the Flint river. It has awesome smallie fishing and some shoal bass. Also look into the ponds at callaway gardens. Good luck!
  17. Nice fish!! glad to see it was a good trip!
  18. Thanks guys! It was definately fun to feel those bass tuggin on my line again!
  19. I decided after coming out of a doctors appointment yesterday that it was too windy to go bow hunting. So since my boat is temporarily out of comission I decided to hit up a friends pond. Seems like a made a good choice, In about an hrs. worth of fishing I landed 7 LMB and 1 crappie. The smallest bass being about 2lbs. I just had my old spring scale but the biggest was just over 6lbs. and I had one at 5lbs. and two at 4 1/2 lbs. The water level was up and a bit stained and because of the cold front I started with a chartreuse double colorado blade spinnerbait and then switched to a 3/8 ounce black and blue football head jig w/ yum money craw trailer. I was lucky and got a maintenace guy to take a pic. of my biggest fish, the other pics i tried my best!
  20. I agree that Northstar makes great quality jigs. In particular the alien head and football head jigs. His skirts are hand tied and he powdercoats the heads, they last longer! I have caught some good bass on those jigs and always have one tied on when i am out fishing!
  21. Hey Wdy, thanks for bringing your 50 E up last night! Feeling your upgraded one next to a stock 50E you can really feel the differences. The drag feels way better and the spool does feel smoother. Hope you go test it on a Biggin soon and let us know how it truly performs!
  22. Way to go man, those are some nice smallies!
  23. Sorry to hear Woody lost a big one! Sounds like ya'll still did ok though. A day on the water beats working any time!
  24. when the water cools down more I really like yo-yoing a lipless crank. That has consistantly produced good bass for me in fall and winter.
