  1. Rage Craws and the Rage Tail Space Monkeys are hard to beat. I like them in watermelon/red, bama craw, and big tex. I've recently started using the Havoc Pit Boss as a trailer on swim jigs with pretty good success also.
  2. For common colors I like green pumpkin and chartreuse. Firetiger is a good choice as well, especially when you're dealing with some color in the water.
  3. There are three that have been really successful for me: The first is the Bladerunner swim jig bluegill color, the second is the Northstar Newgill, and the third is the Fishingskirts.com bluegill (in no particular order).
  4. The Abu Garcia Vendetta and Veritas are good options. The Vengeance is also on sale at Tackle Warehouse for $39 (originally $50). The Vendetta and Veritas are of much higher quality than the Vengeance though.
  5. If its early in the day and the surface is relatively flat, try a topwater. My personal favorite is the Mann's Waker Elite.
  6. Bass Cat Toyota Abu Garcia Strike King Yo-Zuri Under Armour Bass Pro Shops
  7. Thanks for sharing! Great fish!
  8. I've used the Spike It as well, mainly to add a touch of color to a trailer. Its not bad but Im going to give JJ's a try also.
  9. I've actually thrown the Sluggo on a splitshot rig. It gets the bait down and still lets it do its thing.
  10. Culprit in red shad
  11. New England style, especially from the Oyster House
  12. Of the three, I would say the Veritas. The Skeet Reese rods are very whippy. I don't have any experience with the Carrot Stix.
  13. The Abu rods, in my opinion, tend to be a little stiffer than the rating. You might find that you like the MH, M for spinner baits, swim jigs, etc.
  14. The original hybrid is excellent line. 12# is a good choice for cranking. I also like the 10#.
  15. Swim Jig with a paca chunk Manns Waker Elite Rage Craw (bama craw color)
  16. I have a 6'-3" that I use quite a bit. I use it for everything but cranks.
  17. I have three Vendetta's. They're an awesome rod. Strong, sensitive, and light.
  18. I think you may have sold me again. Thanks for the heads up.
  19. I like the Blade Runners or NorthStar. The Blade Runner has a narrow head, while the NorthStar's have a smaller profile allowing it to slide through easier.
  20. I have a love/hate relationship with that rod. For some reason I love it but it snapped on my first outing with it. I had Abu replace it with a Vendetta. Now its starting to make its way back into my head. I want to try another one but Im afraid of it snapping again.
  21. Not sure why I've never tried this. Its a great idea. These things are wicked soft.
  22. Nice. Pretty stoked about these. I'm actually surprised these were not part of the earlier Rage line.
  23. I hadn't bought into the Havoc deal but bought a pack of the pit boss on sale Dick's to give them a shot. Tried it as a swim jig trailer and caught a bunch. I was impressed by the action of the appendages and the durability.
