  2. I work as an unloder at walmart and the way they pack the trucks i would be carful buying rods from there.
  3. The pro qualifier/carbonlight combo for 150 at bps is a good combo. A medium or medium heavy fast rod is a good all around rod and id recomend #12 yozuri hybrid line.
  4. The spring classic sale is going on at bass pro through march 10th so you should be able to get alot of tackle for $500. BPS also has a rod and reel trade in where you trade old rods and get money of of a new one.
  5. yozuri hybrid #12 for baitcasting #8 or #10 for spinning
  6. My focus this year is going to be on the T-rig which iv never really used before.
  7. Im lucky my Dad bought me a lifetime sportsmans lisence when i was a kid so i just have to order a new one every year. The only thing i have to buy is the $15 duck stamp if im gonna duck hunt.
  8. I use 12# yozuri hybrid on my baitcaster and it works well for everything , also some people use braid with an appropriate leader attached depending on the situation.

  11. I use the #2 mustad KVD 1x short 2Xstrong triple grips on my kvd 1.5s and 1/2 oz res.
  12. I normally just wait till the spring sale at bass pro and stock up on everything for the year you can get some good stuff if you'r willing to wait.

  16. I was browsing the website and found the the revo stx and winch series on sale for $139.99.
  17. While I'd love to have the legend tournament part of the reason I picked the Varitas and premier is because they are some of the few good rods that come in 2 piece variants.
  18. I held both of them at bass pro and they both feel good and the veritas felt a little lighter but I've heard it has durability issues. Also just found rods by Damiki at tacklwArehouse does anyone have experience with these?
  19. I need a new general purpose baitcasting rod and narrowed it down to these two. Which one would you pick and why?
  20. You can get the silent ones anywhere but only BPS has the rattling 1.5.
  21. Norcal-What thats supposed to say is i only backlash 2 or so times out of 10 and i already got all the brakes off Its actually very easy to tear down so ill look at that and see if i cant figure it out
  22. Thanks for the info, i spend today messing around with it and managed to get where I could cast without getting a backlash 8 out of 10 casts. Im not familiar with this setup as it was given to me by my uncle so im not sure what the exact model number on the reel is but the stuff yall posted helped alot. Im also not seeing a gear ratio on the reel anywhere so how would i figure that out?
  23. I got my first bait caster its a Eagle Claw Gold Eagle 2 by Wright & McGill paired with a Abu Garcia ambassadeur xlt plus and i need some pointers on using it and how to adjust the reel.
