well as the title suggest is there a huge noticeable difference in the two lines? the Dobyns Champion series and the savvy series? reason im asking is because in the past two weeks I broke two rods a veritas and a 735 and i want to get dobyns again i just dont know if it is worth the extra $ to get another champion series or if the savvy is almost as good for the price.

ya mine was not to much better friend lost his wallet and car keys i cracked my phone and broke a month old Dobyns champion rod and put 54$ of gas in the truck im right there with you

Haha I figured someone would say that we were going to go somewhere else but my buddy forgot his wallet and didn't have gas money (I drove last time) so that idea was kind of shot ha

has anybody fished hilsdale this year? i went out there today and got skunked on bass we caught a few crappie but thats it. was wondering where you guys are finding them on this lake its just so much timber and structure its hard to find them

Well I broke down and ordered a cavitron off of tw and i also finally got some jjs majic on the way to im pretty excited to try the cavitron after all the good results u guys are having

Do you guys know of any tournaments around the kc area? or even in Missouri i have been wanting to start tourneys but just haven't heard of that many around here

I think I am going to be looking into these cavitron buzzbaits lol I fish alot of Booyahs with the clackers right now Any double buzz users? what one do you use?

The very last peir on the northeast side is where we caught 6 fish in 6 cast we got all the way up in the north and saw quite a few nice size fish but they wouldn't hit. And yes this year my dad and i have caught 7 white bass out there and we thought it was weird so we asked a guy we see there all the time and he said they dumped about 2000 white bass in there?

Where did you fish on Miami? i mainly just go in and out of the pockets and fish the shores and then the west bank that whole long bank. I have never tried fishing in the middle yet but i am going to as it gets hotter.

This past weekend my friend got me hooked on buzzbait fishing he told me to try one after seeing him catch fish after fish on them so i did and started catching a lot of fish and now that has become one of my favorite ways to fish. So this brings me to my question what buzzbaits do you guys like the most? i want to try a double bladed buzzbait but dont know what one would be of good quality

I was out at Miami Saturday and ended up with close to 60 fish between my buddy and I, we also headed out there today and we didnt do so hot but it still beat doing anything else. On Saturday we went through 2 bags of super flukes 1 bag of Rage Anacondas and 2 bags of senkos when they hit they were hitting hard we also caught some on rage toads and some on buzzbaits.

Ive done this the past three days and it has payed off the first day was a buzzbait, I have never caught anything on a buzzbait until Thursday now I am hooked and the past couple days I have been trying super flukes which I have never had much luck on and I killed them the past couple days.

fished gardener lake this evening with a friend and we caught close to 20 fish on nothing but topwater and we caught a couple on wacky rigged senkos around the docks.

ya come around September I start going to the duck hunting fourms which I am active on but once all the seasons are over I find myself back here haha. I am the same way every year I wonder if I will keep bass fishing after all the seasons start but I keep going back to hunting as my main hobby there is just something about having ducks locked up at 20yrds in your face when you pop up to shoot. it gets me just thinking about it lol

Dobyns Champion 735C, my first Dobyns rod and I can tell you it wont be my last I love this rod!

i have a 6'6" med casting rod that i love but ever since i got my dobyns it has taken a back seat

My "old" faithfuls would have to be all the rage products i always go back to them if fishing is slow and it always seems to work. some things I am going to work on would be my crankbait fishing and i want to try the a-rig and frog fishing is another thing I am really going to try this year as I never really have done a whole lot of it.

i think i might be the only one who is the opposite way but for waterfowl hunting. I live for waterfowl hunting every time i am on a boat i pay close attention to where the ducks and geese are for the winter months but bass fishing is defiantly a close second with deer hunting third. i dont think there is a day that goes by without me thinking about waterfowl hunting or bass fishing

Welcome! And I have not fished those two at all this year only two I have fished have been la cynge and Miami county. I was going to head out to hillsdale but ended up at Miami again.

Anyone fish hilsdale lately im lookin to go down there after school today any pointers?

I caught my bigger ones on jigs 2 cast in a row and then A LOT of small ones on a single tail grub like a rage grub if little power bait ones in green and white or green pumpkin just fished with a slow retrieve. Where we were u would need a boat...we went from theboat ramp straight across to the "cove" where I caught the two in the pic then we fished that whole bank on the other side of the cove. I hope this helps!
