I may actually try and enlarge the area around the keeper, I'm using 5/0 hooks and the mold was designed for a 4/0 hook.

Is that the 175? It's got a lot of Jackplate how fast does she go?

I heated the mold by laying it on top of the mold until it was fairly hot. I put the business card in and re smoked the mold and everything turned out great! I had to redo one out of every ten but I can live with that. Thanks for the advise!!!

I think the guy in the back has the advantage. He doesn't have the boat payment, he doesn't have to worry about the repairs or maintenance, parking pass, cleaning the boat/ tow vehicle...

Hey I've got a question, I had a bunch of lead bullets I melted down and have been using but in having problems getting the lead to go clear to the bottom of the mold around the hook on my 1/2oz football jig mold. Should I try softer lead? Would that "flow" better? I use a lee production pot and last time I had the temp maxed... It starts working ok once the mold gets hot but were still talking about only about 40% are usable and the rest have to be redone. Help!

I guess I should elaborate why I don't like it instead of just bash it. It is truly fine and I think it matts down and tangles instead of flaring out ...

I'm on the broken boat list again??? Friday I was fishing the hot water outlet (97*) and the air temp was about the same and I had an overheat alarm go off! I've got a water pump ordered and a pair of thermostats but I'm not sure when they'll arrive yet.
