Daiwa Cielo Mh Crankbait Rod
I had a 7'11" Cielo and it was pretty but I never fell in love with it and sold it. It wouldn't load good. I shorter one may work fine?

Trimming A Jig Weed Guard
Why trim them that makes them stiffer (Think leverage). If you don't want them as stiff cut some strands off at the base. Personally I just fish them and am a l lot more concerned about weather it needs a Rage Craw or Lobster.

Whats Your Favorite Way To Cook King Salmon M
Grilled on a smoldering cedar plank with some Lemon Dill seasoning. I've also baked it marinated with a mixture of Yellow Mustard and SoySauce. < Don't knock it till you try it.

If You Had To Choose 4 Lures
If a jerkbaits working that's what I'll use, the same with a Jig. You can have everything else! Those 2 baits can get me through most of the year and catch me some pretty nice fish!

I'm figuring Flathead but it just came off like a Gar or something with teeth? You can ask Sizzle I know what a BIG gar is like I got one to the boat earlier this year on a jerkbait. This felt like a truck leaving a stop sign!

That one was fairly loose. I normally lock down my drag on my jig rods if I'm not using braid but I lost a nice fish in a tournament the other day at the boat and I thought I may have ripped the hook out so I started backing down on the drag a bit.

I lost the biggest fish I ever hooked into today. No clue what it was. I was using a 8' rod and 50# braid. I set the hook and the fish turned and started picking up speed until I broke off? I honestly would have thought in open water I had enough of a rod/reel/line for anything. I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tournament Question
The best part of the day was after it was over my wife and other son joined us and we turned the Triton into a swim deck! I set the spot lock on the Terrova and we swam for hours.

Tournament Question
We had fun Indy caught a little Catfish he got to weigh in. At one point he was setting on the edge of the boat dangling his feet in the water and he fell in! Lol, he was a trooper though as he didn't drop his pole. I'm not sure they had ANYONE weigh a 15" LMB and they started weighing shorter fish? LOL And it was a Game Warden weighing the fish! Then they gave them back to you so you could take them home if you wanted? That lake is tough and an 18" fish is fairly rare not to mention the tournament was only 3 hours long. Anyhow it took a 2.3# sack to win LMB and 1.2# was big bass. I didn't know they were going to weigh short fish and I threw back a 16" and 17" fish. And had a BIG one shake it's head and spit my jig back at me. Lol

Tournament Question
A lot of Tournaments in Kansas allow the Bass Pass but we were not. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CAsQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fkdwpt.state.ks.us%2FFishing%2FFishing-Regulations%2FBass-Pass&ei=qTymU-7ELaqN8QHg6oAw&usg=AFQjCNFVFi8-lenjWVSSA5i8N5fHKPWI0w&sig2=cgE2CYd0zFLEB6sF_ESrhA

Tournament Question
I fished a tournament Today and the sign at the ramp clearly stated 18" minimum for LMB. At the weigh in after the Tournament they were weighing 15" and above??? This was a father/son tourney geared towards the kids and was put on by the Sheriffs Department and a Game Warden was doing the weighing. I just thought it was odd allowing 15" fish.

Tournament Question
Is it common practice to have a 18" minimum length limit on a lake but yet weigh 15" fish in a tournament? This is kansas and no, we weren't using the bass pass.

Drift Sock?
I've used one drifting over flats fishing for Waleye, but if your bank fishing for bass the wind generally won't blow the direction you want it to.

Numbers Or Size...what Is More Important To You?
Size, it only takes one good fish to make my day. Unless I'm fishing for smallies, then I'd at least like to catch enough to have fun.
