  1. They are great baits. Don't wait for it to get warmer, the prime time for spinnerbaits is now.
  2. Yeah, I believe that's a myth.
  3. You can buy the Tournament Pro for $160 on eBay. It is a one sweet reel.
  4. You won't notice a difference between your curados and the new chronarch. I'd suggest a Lew's Tournament Pro.
  5. Their lipless cranks are great as well as the zell pop.
  6. This is another great option and at that price you could buy two of them and still be in your price range!
  7. I own a Powell Max 683 MEF and it is a high quality rod. I got one when TW was closing them out for $100. If you can find a Powell that meets your requirements, then that would be a good option. I also noticed that the Kistler Magnesium TS Spin 6'9" MH Finesse Special is on sale for $140 at TW. That would also make a nice rod.
  8. What an idiot! It is not like he couldn't afford to buy a license, just look at his rod and reel combo.
  9. I have no problem with fisherman who keep fish LEGALLY. If it is done lawfully then I see no need to judge their lifestyle and wouldn't want them to judge me because I practice catch-and-release.
  10. Aaron Martens, Kevin VanDam, and Edwin Evers.
  11. You can almost every do technique with these: 6'6"-7' M/F Spinning 6'6"-7' MH/F Baitcasting 7' MH/M Baitcasting As for your case, I would throw jerkbaits on your spinnerbait rod then use a spinning rod for weightless plastics.
  12. Have you seen these? http://www.basspro.com/Plano-HydroFlo-StowAway-Tackle-Boxes/product/10231459/230106 I really like those boxes for my treble-hook lures.
  13. Depends on the cover that you are fishing but a 7'0" MH/M w/ 10-17lb line is what you are going to want to be using with crankbaits. Some good lines are Yo-Zuri Hybrid, McCoy Mean Green, Seaguar Tatsu, Sunline FC Sniper, Trilene 100% FC. I don't know how much you want to spend on a rod but the BPS Crankin' Stick is a good place to start. For your second setup, I don't know how light of lures you are talking but you are going to have to spend some cash to get a baitcaster to throw lures under 1/4 oz. weights. If you are talking 3/8-1/2oz lures then almost any decent reels will do. Again, I don't know how much you want to spend but some great places to start are the BPS Pro Qualifier, BPS Carbonlite, Shimano Citica, Shimano Curado, Lews Speed Spool, Abu Garcia Revo S. It would help if you gave some more information and price ranges.
  14. They should be spawning right now.
  15. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/95702-p-line-c21/page__hl__c21
  16. Citica @ Gander Mtn for 79.99 TYD
  17. Is it the new crucial? If so then I would probably go with that but the Fenwick is also a very nice rod.
  18. I have a 100b that I use for cranking and it works good. It is almost effortless to crank which helps out when you are cranking all day. Mine is on a 7'8" MH/M St Croix Mojo "Big Cranker" which I use to throw deep cranks and big lipless cranks.
  19. You sure about that
  20. I own 2 of the Humminbird Piranhamax now and I think they are a great unit for the money.
  21. If you mean light as in power then I would look at the G.Loomis GL2 or the Falcon Lowrider XG.
  22. I'm in! Hopefully I can nab a nice smallie out of LSC this year!
  23. President is smoother with more bearings and is lighter than the Trion. Trion has a teak handle while President has a plastic-type handle. If you can afford to spend the extra $20 then I would get the president.
