  1. maybe they want this I editied the quote with the caenan pic
  2. saw this a lil bit ago The rod looks way sicker in person! It's just as light as my medium heavy rods too! The only bad thing I could find was that it was a little tip heavy.. That may just be because its a 7'6" rod though. Overall it's a great rod!
  3. Id have to see them in person to judge but the color isnt my cup o tea
  4. you can buy a bantam curado..... Lews is 23 ipt, I have one but in 7 ratio http://www.lews.com/reels.htm#7
  5. I have one, it handles braid well. It had a short frogging stint for me, worked well, casts well. 150yd spool, long handle, I believe 14lbs of drag. Its magnetic braking only
  6. I wish I was able to find a place to use one of these, Im lucky sometimes to be able to use a kvd 1.5 Im going to buy one just to have in case I get lucky to get on a boat somewhere
  7. most people use the ultra soft on spinning reels with great results which is geared towards
  8. P-Line CXX copolymer,Big Game, Ande Mono possibly...yo zuri was already stated in your OP Ive used the Big Game mono, which was strong and abrasion resistant as well as yo-zuri, both were good and inexpensive enough to pick up a roll of each
  9. I initially thought I had a reel seat problem but it was my own fault not taking time putting on my reel...it wobbled slightly. What I would recommend is putting tape or tabs on the reel feet because the metal on the reel seat(metal screw) can scratch the reels paint. Mine are already scratched so it doesnt matter anymore. I use the 7ft mh for almost everything including what you want and I dont find problems with it at all. I even throw finesse jigs on it. Ive never used the medium to fish so I cant compare it, its slight lighter, but the mh is light too. It is stiffer than other MH rods but I actually prefer it to my other m/h rods and I've said its my favorite that I own. I put my revo back on it, with 50lb braid and have been using a flouro leader recently, I think the sensitivity has stepped up even more now with the leader on the soft plastics. I have the micros, the knot (that I use) passes through but can rub so I usually stop it before the tip. If you are using regular guides or straight line no leader, should have zero issues there. I think you'd be happy with either the M or MH the mh would give you more options IMO if you decide to go into heavier cover
  10. I will try these techniques. I fish from shore so I don't know how much diff that makes, but I tend to fish a jig like a worm but dont get the same results
  11. this may help
  12. It allows me to forget about most problems for the time I'm occupied so it keeps me sane in rough times......there's many more benefits but this one comes to mind first.
  13. They say the citica e is better but my friends G series felt smoother than the e I own. Reel seemed pretty good to me from the initial usage of it. Havent used the s
  14. If she was with the ladies in the office, then they(the other ladies) could easily be confused with the offensive line from the 87 Chicago Bears if you know what I mean.
  15. My girl doesn't fish. I've taken her a few times with good results but I'm always constantly talking about fishing stuff, maybe like some of you do. I always ask her if she gets sick of it but she doesn't mind. She always ask me if I'm fishing or tells me about lakes she sees on the way home from work or when out. Today I get a random text while she is at work which made me laugh. Her texts to me are in white. Thought it was funny enough to share..well to me it was anyway
  16. I know the feeling. Before this site and others, Id fish worms 99% of the time and catch fish...use the same rod for everything (mono) after this site and others, I have tons of lures , some that work, many combos, but soft plastics still catch most of the fish when I use it and can still use one rod for almost everything and catch fish...moreso its just the line thats used to make it happen so I can catch multiple species with no probs. I could be content but Id rather spend my money on fishing that drugs or alcohol like many do so Im content using it for something that makes me happy.
  17. Im on my way there, I plan to buy more.
  18. Even with the brakes set properly? Some people never realized there were internal brakes...usually set high. Mine bombs all weights of baits. Id have bought a 5 ratio also but they were out during the spring sale sale, so only got a 7
  19. buzzbait...hollowbody frog?
  20. you can also try the yum double up rig
  21. Im upbeat, I fish the same way
  22. Thanks, Ill see what they say. The fish has the other half of the bait if they need it back.
