  1. unless your lake is lakemaster HD, I would stick to navionics.
  2. yeap 14+ hours on the front deck can't be easy. in rough water and a long day of fishing my body knows.
  3. most say that until you sit at a table for 12+ hours....... it really is hard work. not digging a ditch hard, but it is mentally taxing and somewhat hard on the body.
  4. back to the topic....... I have read more than one "study" that says blues are readily more seeable. yet you seem to think it is a mythical color based on your earlier post.
  5. who is "we"....... I thought you were 17? not that you cant help with research, but I have an issue with someone that would "help" yet pass it off as their own. I am not meaning to be rude, just wanting a clearer picture of your background at such a young age, and your intentions.
  6. I have bought everyone of my Lews TP from $118- $127 (mostly in the lower range). you got to shop.
  7. I can now say I was spoken about on TV!!!! BAWHAHAHHAHBAWHHAHAAHA.......... I wouldn't say I REFUSED to throw a senko. I had been on a jig and shakeyhead bite all week and was going to "dance with who brung me" right or wrong its all I knew. needless to say Glenn gave me the business throwing a senko. Color didn't matter, Glenn knew/figured out being post frontal they wanted a subtle, slow, do nothing fall and action. Glenn is a wealth of information, and I am grateful I got to fish with him. It is truly a day I will not forget, not only just the fishing information, but making and fishing a new friend. the post script to this story is, I have taken the senko, a bait I had no confidence in and have put more fish in the boat thanks to butt kicking I received from Glenn. and not only the Senko lesson but other tid bits we talked about that day too. Glenn gave me several "nuggets" throughout the day.... whether he knows it or not I soaked it all up. and for the record, I never been a stick bait snob, I just didn't know what I didn't know! LOL Great show guys, great show!
  8. down here in the south, when water temps get down high 30s low 40s I never seen a reason to get to the lake until 9ish.
  9. it was a different summer for sure....... make sure going into late fall/early winter that you put down a good potash application. something like a 10-0-40 for example, or anything with a low first number, high third number(potash). this will help the plant "harden" off for winter and help stave off any possible winter kill. You will need this being you have young yearling grass. Let us know next spring when it takes off!
  10. why do people do half of what they do? Its a crazy world....I hope it works out and the guy just out of town/busy/whatever.
  11. how did the yard pan out this summer?
  12. this might just be your welcome to the real world, it dont make it right, but it is what it is. always have contracts, signed, in hand BEFORE doing work.
  13. I have pitched squarebills before too, nice silent entry.
  14. I would challenge anyone to say a man couldnt get by with: black and blue Green Pumpkin(with Orange IMO) PBJ that covers muddy, stained, and clear water. I know some lakes have that special color, but for the starting jig fisherman, those 3 cover it all. if you want more, get more, but I think it is kinda a waste. It is my strong feeling if they will not bite one of those 3 colors, they just aint biting jigs that day.
  15. I carry 3 colors, 3 weights...... I don't want to have to worry about "what if I tried this color", so I limit myself to 3. 3 colors of jigs 4 colors of worms 2 maybe 3 of cranks 2 color spinnerbait I like to keep it simple and not second guess myself.
  16. wayne is correct.......... by shopping now you can have an 1198 for under $2k, bnib
  17. I started this in late September.
  18. PM "bassin is addicting"........ Jon is from Indiana as well. He never caught a jig fish either, until he came to the roadtrip at Pickwick last year. Judging from the pics he sent me this summer, Jigs work just fine in the hoosier state. Maybe he can give insight to your local waters .
  19. I have too......I dont get the flipping stick to throw a 10xd. While I havent thrown it much I have thrown it some. I would like to see the 806cb as it would be better, in comparison, as the 805 is perfect for a 6xd, I can only assume an 806 would be perfect for the 10xd.
  20. 100% correct Central is awesome and so is Germantown Commisary (spelling) Memphis is a novelity town, they pimp out Elvis, Blues/ Music in general, Beale, and BBQ and you have to look find "real" anything. IMO people that go to Rendezvous expecting mind blowing BBQ are missing out.........find a guy selling it out of a trailer in a parking lot, now we're talking. Memphis tries to sell the legend instead to the product, but dont get me started on a Memphis rant.
  21. KC the best BBQ........hahahaha thats the best joke I have heard in a while. Everyone knows Memphis is where its at.... which is also why it is more expensive here.
  22. Improved Clinch is all I use too. I have tried the palimar and a few other knots but never had the confidence to fish them. with FC the knot has to be "pretty", perfectly stacked. There are many good knots out there just pick one you can tie perfectly, as most issues with FC boil down to a bad knot.
  23. IDK, I have the 805rmcb for 6xd work.
