  1. This summer the Rage Structure Bug, Zoom Brush Hog & the Big Bite Bait 10" Kriet tail worm have done well for me. For some reason the Kriet tail has been attracting bigger bites than the other big worms I've tried including my old stand -by 10" Powerworm .
  2. I've done well lately fishing 1 to 1-1/2 oz Dirty Jigs brand grass jigs and/ or Strike King Hack Attack with the Strike King Rage Craw as the trailer.
  3. The Sebile Flatt shad is very underated in my opinion, one of the best out there .
  4. The Egg is a legit bait, I like the bigger size. I change out the hooks to the # 2 Mustad kvd short shank. It will probably wake if you fish it real slow but it tends to run a few inches below the surface on a faster retrieve.
  5. Those are my 2 favorites .
  6. This summer has been a very good year for jig fishing. Last week I nailed them at a local lake throwing a 1-1/2 oz jig in app. 12' to 18' of water and getting reaction bites which is something new to me as far as using a jig that heavy. 1 oz jigs thrown in the grass have been producing good ones as well. Soft plastic wise the Rage Structure Bug has been a very good addition to the line up fishing it Texas Rig . The Zoom Brush Hog & 10" worms have been producing as well and when the going gets tough dropshots & Senko's will produce bites .
  7. Nice review BlueBasser86
  8. After this weekend I'm going to add the 10" Big Bites Kriet Tail to the list. Stuck about 18 lbs yesterday at a lake full of stunted fish including a 5 lb 12 oz kicker, this after trying a few other worms that produced smaller fish . I'm now a fan
  9. 10" Power worm and Xcite Maximus on a magnum shaky head .
  10. I will definitely pick one up. In addition to it's intended application I have a feeling it will be a good night fishing bait .
  11. One of the best lipless baits around .
  12. tcbass I tend to have more success using this bait style with some wind, overcast skies are also a plus.
  13. In my opinion the best bait on a shaky head is a Senko style bait on the Shaky head. I get them poured with no salt.
  14. Regarding hooks I prefer the Gamakatsu. That said you may also look at your rod/ reel / line combo and hooksetting technique. I prefer braid with a floro leader, when I went to that combo my hooksetting and landing % went way up .
  15. Any of you guys use the 9" ABT Suicide Glide ? Not quite as pricey and easier to get. Looking for a little feedback before I drop some coin on it .
  16. Likely a jig or swimbait for me .
  17. Works well for me on a Texas-rig, usually use a 3/8 oz sinker.
  18. tcbass thanks for your review, that said I don't think 1 outing is a large enough sample size to make a fair comparison regarding the effectiveness of these baits in my opinion .
  19. That bait is designed for the Alabama rig , that said I see no reason why it wouldn't get bit as a stand alone bait. I have a lot of experience with another bait by them called the Live Eye Bottom Walker with the 6" size being my favorite, I typically slow roll in deeper water.
  20. Nice picture .
  21. 5 LBS plus is what I consider a big fish where I live. I've caught these fish on a variety of baits over the years but my most consistent producers are jigs and deep diving cranks for my top 2. R.I. Sweet Beavers, full size brush hogs and swimbaits have also done well.

Crankbait Style - Rapala DT Fat 1 is a good choice. My favorite was discontinued about 5 years back which is the Xcalibur Wake Crank, very explosive strikes. I wish they would bring this bait back . The Jackall Cherry Zero footer 56 is a nice finesse crank for this application as well . Swimbait Style - The 316 Wake Jr. and the MS Slammer are both proven producers.

I just ordered 2, thanks for the recommendation .
  24. This year the jig is my MVP so far as it's nabbed my 2 biggest of the season so far and my rookie of the year would be the Rage Bug .
