TIEMCO baits JDM
Looks like some cool baits I'll have to try a few. If I may ask Incheon and T-rig which bait out of their line-up do you think is the best and what do you like about it ? Thanks

Question about top water baits
I've caught fish in 50' deep water on topwater baits, as Gobig mentioned those fish are usually suspended and did not rise through the entire water column. I regularly take them in 20' or less.

favorite plastic company
Zoom & GYCB, though there are others that I like as well.

flipping baits
Zoom Speed Craw & R.I. Sweet Beaver.

Favorite single curly tail grub
I don't have a lot of expierience fishing these plastics compared to other bait styles. I have been using Yamamoto's & Kalins on the back of swim jigs and I used to use the Berkely's a few years back on a 1/4 oz mushroomhead jig but got away from this presentation the last few years when the Yamamoto Hula Grubs came out. I'm curious as to your favorite size and which ones have the best action with lighter jigheads and your rigging preferences. Thanks

Bandit crankbaits?
The 700 series is the most underated crankbait out there, I've done very well with the Chrome Bluegill color. This one has been putting big fish in the boat for me and cast very well which is critical for a deep diver. I agree with the others regarding the footloose, it's o.k. but I have other shallow running cranks that are more productive. Regarding hooks it's a plus if they have good ones already on the bait but it' not too big of a negative if you have to change them considering that these baits are typically in the 5$ price range.

favorite trailer or craw for small finesse jigs
I've done well fishing the 1/4 & 3/8 oz. Kietech Tungsten jigs or 3/16 or 5/16 oz. Booyah Baby Boo jigs with a 2-3/4" Yum Craw Papi as the trailer, I cut off about 3/16" off the trailer to make it more compact. Kietech also makes a cool little football jig that I drag & shake, puts fish in the boat when they are deep and the fishing is tough.

Does anybody else find themselves throwing soft plastics more often than hardbaits?
It depends on time of year, fish location, cover and fish activity but I would say 50/50 for me over the course of a season. In the ealy to mid spring I tend to rely a lot on jerkbaits, rattlebaits, spinnerbaits and various types of jigs more than the soft baits. During the spawn soft baits account for the majority of the fish. Postspawn through summer crankbaits are my go to lures with some topwater fishing when conditions allow. I break out the soft baits when they are not hitting cranks but on most outings I can catch fish on my arsenal of cranks that run anywhere from the surface on down to about 18-20' or so. During the mid to late fall I throw a lot of cranks (especially lipless) & jigs until the water temp starts getting below the mid 40's. This is a brief summary of fishing preferences throughout the season but really my presentations are dictated by what the fish are telling me that day and I'll do whatever it takes to put in fish in the boat even it means if I have to fish slow with senko's, dropshots , shakyheads etc. if need be.

soft plastic lizards
This may be repititive but here's another vote for Zoom, I like the 5" size for everday fishing and the 8" when after big fish. I haven't tried the Rage Lizard but that apparently is a good one as well.

Powell vs Dobyns....???
This year I added a Dobyn's DX 742 SF Champion Extreme spinning rod which is a 7'4" ML which I use to throw senko's and small light finesse plastics with 6 lb. florocarbon. This rod has been a joy to fish with and I would highly reccomend this rod to anyone who might be interested and I'll definetely consider Dobyn's for future rod purchases.

Sebile Magic Swimmer Soft FINALLY produces!!! Now a problem...
Wow! Congrats on your great fishing day, Mend It might pick you up a few extra fish but even it doesn't I would say you got your money's worth.

Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw vs. Berkley Chigger Craw?
I'll go with the Ultravibe, this has become my favorite soft bait.

Putting together a "panic box"....suggestions?
3" senko's/dingers using either 1/32 oz or 1/16 oz Gopher Tackle Mushroom Jighead. The jighead has a small # 6 Gamakatsu hook.- Even though this is an exposed hook it is surprisingly weedless especially the 1/32 oz jighead Lucky Craft RC 0.5 Crankbait- I usually opt for the Ghost color

Jackall Lures
I'm a fan of a lot of their baits as well. Here are some of my favorites... Cherry Zero Footer 56- super shallow crank Muscle Deep 15 Plus- fantastic crank, cast like a rocket and gets a lot of bites Bonnie- very good walkin' bait Squad Minnow- excellent jerk bait rivals Lucky Craft Pointer DD Squirrel - Deep Jerkbait TN Lipless Crank- very good slow rolling bait as well as ripping threw the weeds, tungsten chin gives it a more nose down posture Not a fan of... Giron- I think there are better swimbaits in that price range Aragon- jointed crank, I threw it a lot a couple of years back, couldn't catch anything with it

whats your favorite spinnerbait brand?
S.O.B. Mini Me is my favorite, I also like War Eagle & Strike King.
-
Tubes and Largemouth
I've had good luck in the summer months fishing a 1/2 or 3/4 oz. weighted 4.25" Yum Vibra King either Texas Rigged or with an internal jighead depending on cover conditions. I typically throw this inside or next to the outside weedline, the fast fall will get reaction strikes from bass & the toothy critters.

Rage Tail. Epic Fail.
Grimlin I also live in Michigan and I can tell you that Rage baits are not too big for the bass in our waters. That said there is a time to downsize etc. but there are times when big sinkers and big baits will put plenty of fish in the boat and usually a better grade of bass. There are also plenty of 5# plus bass in our waters as I'm fortunate to land a few every season, stay patient the big ones will come. Regarding the topic at hand I'm slowly getting around to using the Rage baits, like any product line they have some I like and some not so much but admitedly my expierence with these baits is limited as I have a ton of other soft plastics that I also do well with that I need to use up before I will start buying more. I can say that the Anaconda worm has made a favorable impression on me and I 'm going to start throwing the Smokin' Rooster and Space Monkey because they are different enough from my other plastics and even though I'm limiting my purchases of soft baits right now I couldn't resist these 2 offerings

BBZ 1 Shad Slow Sink
I've done well with the SK King Shad but have not used the Spro enough to have an opinion, it does look great in the water but I have not caught anything on it yet. The River to Sea V joint wake minnow has done very well for me and is available at an affordable price.

Best wooden cranks?
I've done well on the Rapala DT series baits along with the Shad Raps.

Whats your current go to bait?
When I need fish throwing a Zoom Speed Craw in the grass is a bait that I'm very confident in.

Fav Walk the Dog lure?
I have a few that I throw... Reaction Innovations Vixen- I believe this one has been taken out of production, I'm glad I bought this when I did. This is my favorite, has an obnoxious knocking noise that provokes a violent response from the fish Lucky Craft Sammy- In a word smooth, cupped face also gives it a little bit of a popping sound and it's a great option for those learning this technique as it's probably the easiest one to walk Zara Spook- this bait is a legend for a reason. Though the Super Spook & Jr. are fine baits I like the original because it doesn't rattle which is sometimes what's needed for spooky fish in clear water. Catches a lot of big fish. I don't like the hooks on Heddon's baits, so I replace them and also add split rings. Jackall Bonnie 95- I like their Ghost color, very good bait Luckly Craft Gunfish- Awesome bait, I can fish it like a walker or a popper and on most retrieves I often do a combination of both with frequent pauses. This is often my go to when I need to finnesse but it also works great when you need a wild retrieve, very versatile. I can also make it jump out of the water a little as well.

BasStar baits
The only BasStar bait that I've tried is the Dredger, very disapointed in this particular bait. The design sounds good in theory but it's very poorly balanced and because it was almost impossible to make a long cast with it without tumbling you would have a very high ratio of wasted cast due to the line tangling around the hooks. I believe the Prop Runner got a good review on Tackle Tour if I remember correctly, if you decide to try those baits let me know what you think but I would definetely stay away from the Dredger.
