I've had my best luck on them right before, during and after the spawn. If you're not having much luck with them, especially with cooler water temps, I'd just move on with a different bait. With winter water temps approaching, there are much better soft plastics IMO.
  2. Looks great. Interesting color that looks very natural; great job.

Looks good to me as well. I prefer jigs with a little beefier profile, and that one looks great.
  4. Powerbait 7" and 10" is my favorite (Sour grape, shhhhhh!)
  5. I did a search, but didn't find anything about these rods I was looking at them at Cabela's today, and was interested in the cranking rod. Anybody have any experience with these? They are the newer model with the split grips and a greenish/blue tint to the blank. Just looking for some input on these as my cranking rod search continues... Any input on this rod or another cranking rod in the $150 and under range would be appreciated. Had a Skeet, but didn't like it and got rid of it. I have 4 Mojos now, and was looking at the 'Crankster' but I primarily throw little squarebills and shallow cranks and it's a little beefy for that I think.
  6. Was hoping to get some input on these baits. I just recently got my hands on a few, and plan on getting my hands on a few more during this off season. They look good in the bag, and I was wondering how you guys fish them. I'm guessing they would work well weightless fished like a fluke, or with a weighted swimbait hook like other soft bodied swimbaits. Any input on successful rigging techniques with this bait would be appreciated.
