  1. welcome to the site.
  2. Yea i always thought medium was the strongest i needed, from what i am hearing i guess i am wrong. well yea ill look into those rods so what like 7' long MH? and keep the suggestions coming.
  3. i hooked a fish onetime and it jumped off low and behold i pulled in a very sogged and fragile worm of mine that was in its mouth O.O
  4. When all else fails, a purple utail worm rigged texas with a bullet weight and a 3/0 hook, by hopping it off the ground! especially for late season fishing.
  5. Yea i was looking at the st croix i always like the long warranties that come with them and yea a BPS baitcaster was what i was thinking about. Still people please put in your ideas i need as much help as i can!
  6. Well i am looking to getting a new rod in the 100-150$ range and less if it is worth it. Well i mainly soft plastic and jig fish with the occasional spinner bait and hardbait fishing. I was looking for a rod that is specialty for plastics and jigs or even a rod that is good for anything. I use spinning reels, and i am most likely getting like a $60 baitcaster with some cheap line and tie on a drop shot sinker and pratice casting in my back yard while fishing with my spinning reel. What rods/reels would you suggest for my fishing style and again please no baitcasting suggestions unless they are a cheap rod to practice with.
  7. YES!!! WACKY RIGGED SENKOS! To be honest those are my secret weapon at the lake i fish. I am always trying to use something different to learn more and enhance my presentation skills. But if all fails i tie on a small size 2 octopus hook with a 5" tiki stik, or dinger, and sometimes the yamamoto and usally catch a fish or two before i have to leave. I used these so i don't go home with no fish caught.
  8. I have never personally changed the stock hooks but i have heard the pros and cons about it.
  9. I have actually never seen that hook before.

    Welcome to the site!
  12. Yea i don't have a boat yet, i have walked around the causeway at eagle creek and caught a nice 4 lber last summer. But yea i notice alot of lakes are business, if there is no sign i fish it, because most of the time to keep a lake looking good you need some fish to help maintain it. A lake was just put into the neighborhood next to mine, the bass are like not even close to a foot maybe 6-7inches at max, so i am sure next summer i might be able to catch them.

Hello Grey wolf! And if anyone is from indiana please post on my topic in northeast fishing
  14. I use jigs, senkos wacky rigged, utail worms. Just keep changing baits if one doesn't work.
  15. Most of the time when i fish is in stocked neighboor hood retention ponds. I pulled out a 7lber and got a pic but had a 9lber on the shore and it snapped the line before i got a picture. So they are worth a shot, in my neighborhood there are like 9 different ponds, the lakes are not pressured as much as some rivers and lakes.
