I can't fish except in the weekends with the time change so I'm pouting.

Lox is way west. Idk about closer to the coast :/

^that's what I used to fish. Most of the canals in lox have bass...and gators. There is an area across from lion country safari on southern blvd that had bass if you are willing to walk with gators around. Caught some decent ones out there but you are water level in swamp on a skinny stretch of land. My experience with gators in lox/Corbett was pretty aggressive and I don't spook easily.

We went out this evening and it was super windy. I was actually quite cold in shorts! We only got out for about an hour from 5:15-6:15. Nothing was moving or biting. I did catch two smalls on zoom speed worms black and blue. One set up was texas rigged on my "lucky walmart" pole lol, mono (I can't even remember what strength because I haven't used it in a while) and the other was just weedless no weight, braid. It is actually my frog pole but I was too lazy to change my other that had a wacky rig on it. Everyone else got skunked. I won't be able to fish during the week with the time change :/. It is supposed to rain all next weekend too.

I told my future step son we would go out fishing if he did all of his chores...never seen the kid work so hard lol. His sister made a snarky comment about him picking string beans in the garden and he simply replied that all of his hard work was going to pay off

Good morning! I took the kiddo this morning and we did ok. I caught a 15" (I got to use my new ruler) on a zoom speed worm watermelon red rigged weedless on a 3.0 hook and braid at 8am. Fog was burning off, no wind. Medium retrieve and I would pause at the grass line. Every hit came on the slow sink. I also caught a 10" or so and a Dinkasaurous Rex. We moved spots and the kiddo caught on the same set up but on mono.

Wow amazing! I'm going to take my future stepson with me in the morning. His dad is stuck taking his sister to cheerleading

If I was catching 20, 21, 22 inchers all month I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut hahaha. I just find it more fun to participate in real time. It holds my interest. I think if everyone went to holding til the end I would lose interest. Plus I need the encouragement/support/fishing locations (lol) of everyone participating since I'm just a newb.

Happy Halloween! Costume #2 today. My office always picks boring group themes so I do what I can with it. This year they chose "nationalities" so I am going in as Chinese Take Out . House is decked out so no fishing for me tonight. Good luck to everyone! I can't wait to see the final results!

Yea if you watch the video the dog actually gets knocked out of the boat and the guy must have it by the leash because he drags it back in.
