  1. Robo Worms, can't beat it.
  2. Just spray it, it won't hurt your reel.
  3. ohh, you can always fish lake Artemesia. It should be fairly close to you, the bass is not big in there but you do get few bites. It is close to University of Maryland, and they have a fishing club that "kinda" maintain the lake.
  4. I suggest that you just give up on centennial park, really no point going there on the weekend. But if you can take a day during the weekday, then maybe give it a try. Rocky Gorge is managed by WSSC, and here is a link that tells you about the program: http://www.wsscwater.com/home/jsp/content/wrup.faces You can catch species like Bass, Walleye, and stripper. Shore line fishing is very limited, so you do at least need a kayak. It is an electric motor only lake, so make sure you carry at least few batteries in the boat. If you decide to fish there, then target different covers and stumps. Fishing is good in the morning close to the bridge, and I picked up a few today with swim jigs.
  5. Centennial park is over fished, and tons of folks on the weekend. I will suggest Lake Elkhorn, which I have caught many 3-4lbers. If you really want to fish centennial park, then I will suggest to go in the evening because less fisherman there. Another problem is the small animals if you are fishing from the bank, I have seem few snakes there but was able to see them before I get too close. There are few points near the boat rental house, run a small crankbait or shakyhead. Most of the time, I am fishing rocky Gorge (need to pay annual fee) which I have caught a 6lber this year.
  6. 1/8 if I am fishing shallow with little or no vegetations, or 1/2-1oz for punching grass.
  7. I usually "match the hatch" on my trailers, but don't be afraid to try something new. For example, yesterday I was using bluegill swim jig with pearl trailer and worked pretty darn well.
  8. Unless the water is really muddy after the rain, then you need to find where muddy water connects with the clear water. Or, just fish normal...
  9. What I do is clean it with Magic eraser, then fill the cracks with wood putty. Sand it with 220, then apply cork sealer. Leave it dry overnight, then lightly sand it again. I get a clean and smooth look everytime.
  10. I leave it overnight, and mess with it in the morning.
  11. you can work fluke anywhere/anytime you like, if you are going to fish deeper water then drop shot it. I tried wacky rig this year on fluke, and it works like a charm.
  12. I got 10lb PP on for shaky head, works pretty darn good but give sufix a try.
  13. i have used the ***, it is a pretty sweet rod for 100 bucks. I am using it for shaky head, and it is far better than my old veritas.
  14. Most of my swim Jig bites came from slow rolling on top the grass, and pause it few times let it sink into the grass then pop it.
  15. look for a used GL2, those are super sweet for what you are going to use it for.
  16. I was one of the guys always used leader w/ braided line, but this year I am doing straight braid and still catching them. Personally, I couldn't tell any difference with or without FC leader.
  17. no idea how you can manage 20lb on BC, well, maybe I am not skilled enough. P.S. I have tried 20lb on BC, and was unable to manage it.

    Baby craw 1/8 T-rigged
  19. 2 Tablespoons of baking soda per 1 quartz of water, and let it sit for 20-25 minutes. Then take it outside to get it dry in the sunlight.
  20. 20LB on BC? this might be pushing it...
  21. This year has been tough, I haven't caught anything over 2lb...what's going on here!!!
  22. I am gonna give 30lb a try, since I don't flip with swim jigs and 50 lb is probably too heavy for it. Since none of yall got issues with "digging" with 30lb, I am going to buy a spool and give it a go.
  23. I used red label years ago, before I switched to Invisx. Red label is a great line for the price, but you HAVE to use line conditioner on it.
  24. yeah, that actually happened to me few times using 30lb braid on BC. I got a good fish out of the weed, but next cast is NC swim jig at the bottom of the lake.
