  1. They are all good, just have to experiment with the colors/blades combos. Heck, Ive caught soo many fish just using the $1 spinnerbaits they sell at Wallyworld.
  2. Get yourself some 30# Power Pro, and tie on a 12# YoZuri Hybrid leader.
  3. Left work today and stopped at a local canal. According to my fishermans watch, it was prime time of the day. Grab the pole and my little bag, and off I went. Fished for about 3 hours and caught a total of 32 bass. All were averaging 1.5-2.5lbs. Small but furious these little buggers were. I had to stop due to I ran out of bait in my bag. Thats never happened to me before, then again neither has that many bass out of local canal in just 3hrs for me. Using my Shimano Sienna 2500 and an old Lightning rod, 30# braid with a 12# YoZuri leader. With the drag set a little light, it was 3hrs of thrills. Good chop on the water, and great action. Couldnt of asked for a better way to ring out the last fishing day of 2012 for me. Howd yall do?
  4. its hard, but Im trying, lol. Tick, tick, cringe.
  5. Same thing I fish all year long. Spooks, lizards, flip pitch bugs and jigs, EZ Swimmers. Got to love S Fla.
  6. Too much money for those useless things as far as Im concerned. But hey, thats just my opinion.
  7. I was watching a show on WFN that showed Australian tournament fishing. These 2 guys were having a very hard day, throwing the whole tacklebox at them. I guess it got soo bad, one of them pulled out a fly rod and started fishing. I thought that was pretty interesting. It was the first time I have ever seen that. I know down here in FL, that would be a funny thing to see. Anybody ever pulled out a fly rod when doing a bass tourney?
  8. I know there is a nice Abu Cardinal spinner in the flea market
  9. Fish comes before Wife in the dictionary, lol.
  10. Nice. We went out last weekend and killed them by the launch canal opening to the flats.
  11. My wife bought me a rod duffle bag from BPS. Holds like 5 easy. Fully assembled rods and reels, just pull out and cast.
  12. I pretty much dress for winter down here, lol. Sun protection is a must. I put on a long sleeve sweat dissipater, a WWS short sleeve fishing shirt, pants, and running shoes (for comfort). Definately the Buff. Just got a Fishaflauge shirt, so that might make me more low profile, lol.
  13. BPS Humpin Toad, T Rigged, 5/0 EWG hook, 50# braid.
  14. You think thats bad. I have AK Notepad on my phone in which I have put my whole tackle assortment on there with what colors and what baits in detail with how many of each lure or bag I have. Same thing with all my hooks and weights. I did this so I can update exactly what I have, and can look at it while at BPS to know what I need to pick up. Also, congrats on the nice combo, even though its not a Shimano
  15. I think Im too OCD with my stuff, nothing gets lost.
  16. You sure can catch fish on just about anything, but its a more enjoyable process using nice equipment that casts and handles fish with great performance. That being said, you dont need to spend $600+, but a hood $300 will get you just what you need to be big pimpin, lol.
  17. Banned? Lol, we need all the help we can get. Haters hate hard core. Its all in fun.
  18. Last year the water level was real high in Holiday. The fish moved to the flats out there for food. Water managememt made the mistake of dropping the water level too fast, and too many fish got stuck out there and died. Well, thats where the bad fishing down there came from. You got to go out to Lox, or out to the Alley.
  19. Get yourself an empty coffee can and practice pitching into it. Start close and move farther and farther away. Challenge your friends and make a game of it.
  20. For me down here, it would be a lizard. Zoom 6" Watermelon red chart. Many ways you can fish it. I usually just rig it to a 5/0 EWG, and a 1/16 oz weight.
  21. These baits I believe are very similar to the Zoom Super Hogs. They have outer leaf like appendages, and a middle flap that is held together by a thin connection. It does give you 2 options on how to fish it. You can use it like a flipping otter type bait, or seperate them to give them more of a craw like look. You just have to experiment with the conditions.
  22. Gambler EZ swimmers.
