New Rod Suggestions
Well, its hard to beat the new Compre rods. I bought one, and havent looked back. It was either that or the Veritas for me when I was looking, and the Compre just out performs. Also, it felt better in my hands than the Carbonlite, but that Carbonlite is a fine rod.

Citica Question
Not every reel is going to do this. If you get a reel with 12 bearings, its going to spin alot more with less effort. Does this make much of a difference once the load of the lure and line are put on it? No. If thats a selling point to you, than be it. Do yourself a favor, fish the reel for a while, break it in before you start worrying about the little things. Once you have made a few houndred casts with it, then you can have it professionally cleaned and lubed, and you will see a big difference.

Bps Catalogue
Well, no point in ordering $10 worth of stuff online, you pay more for shipping. Even when I drive to Bass Pro in Dania down here its a 20-30 min drive. Im not gonna go there unless Im gonna drop $50-100 to make the trip worth while. I have learned that WallyWorld has most of the soft plastics in the colors that I use around town in the canals. If I need a quick bag, then I will just go there, everything else, I will have to make the pilgrimage. Also, since I have soo much stuff, I have learned to use the AK Notepad App for my phone to keep track of all my tackle. This is great because when Im down at BPS, I can see what I am getting low on, and pick it up while there before I get too low, and then it save me plenty of time and gas.

Spinning Reel Maintenance
Pretty much gonna do the same thing as you would a baitcaster, take it apart, clean all old grease and oil, and then reassemble. Pay very close attention to how all the parts are are placed, and take pictures if you need to. What I like to do if unfamiliar, is while taking every individual part off, lay them down in a line in order they came off (slightly assembled if needed if you feel a level of difficulty of remembering how they were put together). Then clean them in order placing back in place in line (always make sure they faced the same way, top/bottom). Then you can reassemble it.

Baitcaster Questions
It just happens depending on where the line is positioned during the cast, to where the line guide is positioned when you start retrieving. They dont always line up after each cast.

Need New Bass Reel
Deff bump up to a aluminum frame. Get something quality that you will be happy with. Citica, Speed Spool, Revo S, if you want to stay in the low 100's.

After Trip Reel Maintenance?
I just spray the reel with KVD L&L and wipe it down. Maybe a light film of oil on the brake drum if used alot.

Line Recomendation?
Just get yourself a spool of 12# and a spool of 15# YoZuri. Use the 12 for cranks, and the 15 for worms and jigs. Problem solved

Baitcaster Questions
Yes, its not going to be perfect. After you start casting and retrieving, it will become uneven sometimes too.

What Color Braided Line Do You Use?
I use Power Pro in green. The good thing abut it is when it seems to fade, it regains color when its wet.

Essential Tackle Box Items?
If Im just bank fishing, I have a little bag from NAFC that has zipper sleeves inside fornsome soft plastics, and I put some hooks and weights in another little bag in the side pouch. I wear cargo style pants that I also carry a small plano box with a few crainkbaits just in case, and a leatherman. If Im on the boat, well pretty much everything I own goes with me all inside my Shimano bag. To give you an idea, all my soft plastics, crankbaits, spinners, buzzs, topwaters, terminal tackle, spools of line for each setup, cleaning/repair kit, rags, dips/dyes, bug spray, sunscreen, line conditioner, pliers, braid scissors, flashlight, caplight, and cull kit. Mind you there is about 60#'s of stuff in there, and plenty of room for more.
