Great rods, I use them. Strong backbone, and they have great sensitivity.

Type Rod For .....
You are not going to go too fast with a 6 speed reel, nor is it ever going to be too slow. When fishing swim baits, or spinners, a 7 is not needed. A heavy wire hook such as a jig or spinner is not too much for a F tip. The only thing you need a XF tip for is going to be HEAVY cover and such. An all around rig that he is asking for, there is no need.

What Would You Use This For?
If your going to use it with treble hook baits, and a sturdy fluoro/hybrid line around 17#, it will be good so you dont yank the hooks out of the fishes mouth with the hookset. You shoud be OK.

Best Time To Use Top Water Frogs
The times to use frogs are very optional. I like to use them to try and find the fish in heavy cover. They will attack them all times of the day. Bass tend to hit topwater all day long as long as the conditions are right. Spooks work great, but not in heavy cover, which is when I use a frog. Down here in S Fl, I like to throw them in heavy pads, and see if there are any fish in the area. Its a hard bait to throw just because when you see the hit you tend to want to set the hook and pull them in. You have to be a little patient with them. BooYah is a great frog and I get better catch ratios with them. The best way is throw it, let it hit the water, let the ripples die out, then give it a few tugs, let it sit, and give it a few more. Keep repeating, and walk along the cover. Use heavy braid, and if you see the hit, give it a few seconds check for line tension, and if its there, set the hook. Its a tough skill to master, but when you get it down, it can be very rewarding.

Buying Reels Off Ebay
ia, I hope your purchase goes well, and doesnt end the way mine did. I will tell you this, I never had an issue with buying reels from this site. I just bought a Citica E from pondassassin, and the reel was better than what he stated. I have to say one thing about this site, everyone on this site is true to their word, and the trust is beyond all expectation.

Reel Talk (Pun Intended)
Nothing can compare to Shimano in my eyes, but thats just me. Mike I know you see them all, honestly, what do you think is the best reel to have as far as maint. and dependability?

Best Beginner Baitcaster Braid?
Yes, sensitivity is there, it doesnt matter the fill. The purpose is that you dont need a whole spool of braid, so you just use mono to take up the space so you have the outer part of braid to fill the spool.

The Reel Choice
Try the new Curado 201G. I hear that they are great reels, even though they are not the E, its not too bad.

Best Beginner Baitcaster Braid?
Spiderwire Stealth braid would be a good one to start with. I still use it for my 65# frogs and jigs. Never had it break on me. I like the fact that it is 12# dia for being 65#. Anyway, just make sure you stick to a 40-65# , if you go too thin you will end up with the line digging in on itself with a hookset. Also, dont need to fill the whole spool with braid, fill maybe 1/2 with a cheap mono, then connect the 2 with a line to line knot, and fill the rest with the braid.

Reel Talk (Pun Intended)
Daiwa is so so. Just to get a good reel from them you have to spend almost $300. If I were you I would stick to Shimano, Abu, or (even as much as it hurts to say this) Lews.

Snakehead
Get the Bass Pro soft plastic frogs, I think they are called Horney Toads, they come 5 to a bag for like $4. Get them in black majic. T-Rig them on a 5/0 EWG hook and some (at least) 40# braid. Just cast far along the banks, and work it along the surface, they cant resist them. Best frog Ive ever used.

Curado 50E. EDIT:Sorry, just saw you said you were lefty, then get the 51E.

Type Rod For .....
Do not get XF tip, that is too much tip for what you need. Stick with just a Fast tip. A MH/F and a reel that is a 6.something gear ratio, a 7.something will be too fast for spinners, the 6.something will give you a better all around speed.
