  1. I can only sit back and watch for soo long, lol.
  2. I agree its like cheating. My Curado 50E on my Vendetta is hard to accept, but it feels soo good. I am getting a Chronarch 50E, and will be mounting it on a Veritas, and am going to feel guilty, but I dont care. Curado and Chronarch 200E's, and Citica E on Sellus rods, so I dont feel too bad.
  3. Everything works better with a Shimano reel attached to it, lol.
  4. I fish Shimano, I spoil myself.
  5. For me they arent lubed enough. I tear mine down after a months use, and give them a good flush and lube.
  6. I dont think Im allowed to comment on this.
  7. Say 7.1:1. That means the spool spins 7.1 rotations for evey full turn of the crank handle.
  8. If the cover around the dock is not too heavy, than 40# should do. If you are going to be pitching into heavy cover and brush, you might want to bump it up to around 50-65#.
  9. Palomar knot is for braid. Tie a clinch knot.
  10. This doesnt help for the brand, but I use the nylon mesh ones that Bass Pro sells. No problems with them. If you do get a hook caught in them, its not that bad to get out, you just have to see how its in there, and carefully get it out. Also, the hook wont damage it due to the thickness. I have them for all my rods, and they are pretty tough.
  11. Yep, its not the boat or the equipment (to an extent), its the mind!
  12. Decent, but not great. Stick with centrifical brakes.
  13. Quantum just doesnt have it.
  14. Sure it wasnt a Northern Snakehead?
  15. why didnt you just take it in with you?
  16. I wouldnt place it on the rod. I know some people who could out fish me with a $20 Shakespeare combo. But Im sure it will make the experience more pleasurable with that bad boy!
  17. Depending on how thick of cover it is will depend on how well its going to work. That line is tough, but too many pads will hinder that. Save the line for a rig that you will use in more open water, and get yourself some 40# braid at least. I use 65#, but I fish some heavy cover with it down here.
  18. A 51E isnt the best choice of a reel to use for frogging, the 200E7 would be a better choice, but if you are going to use it, spool it with at least 40# braid, and look into the Sellus Flipping rod, its a great deal for $70, and its very strong.
  19. Dont buy the Clarus rod, I have broken 2 of them in the last 3 months, they dont hold up. If anything, get the Sellus MH Worm and Jig rod, that thing has a better backbone, and its only $50.
  20. Good advice: dont waste the money. Save it for better lures and stuff.
