  1. Citica, Curado, Chronarch?
  2. Spray the screw with wd40, pb blaster, or buster and let it sit overnight.
  3. Veritas. The grips and reel seat feel better to me.
  4. Take a hammer and lightly tap the end of the screw driver while it in the head of the screw. Sometimes that will help to break it free.
  5. Power Pro, Suffix, Spiderwire Stealth all good. I use Spiderwire Stealth for my frogs and jigs. Get at least 50-65#.
  6. It happens. Sometimes just reeling a lure in will cause it too. I wouldnt worry about it. It wont hurt anything. It will straighten itself.
  7. Only downfall for the Sol is the Mag brakes. Personally I prefer the Centrif brakes, as they are easier to adjust and tune. Plus the whole "free floating spool" thing, which has made me return a Daiwa reel because it was not good for me. But these are my personnal opinions.
  8. I put all my soft plastics in their original bags, and seperate them by worms, lizards, creatures, etc, in gallon size ziploc freezer bags. Just put the ziplocs in the bait bag/box. Sometimes the baits only come like 9 to a bag, so I will just put 2 bags together in 1 bag to save hassle.
  9. 50E, you can fish that thing any way you want to. Also, it will last you forever. Whether you get the Curado or the Chronarch, they are both a good choice, but the Chronarch has a better drag system. I use a Curado 50E as my all around setup on a Vendetta rod and 12# YoZuri, and have no problems casting all types of baits.
  10. 12-15# YoZuri would be perfect. It will give you all the strength and abrasion resistance you will ever need. I dont even care for any other since I started using this stuff.
  11. Possibility that the dia of the braid may be your problem. Braid that thin may dig in on itself even while reeling the line in, and that could be hurting the casting distance. The fluoro is thicker and does not do that. Try a thicker braid, or switch to a mono line for your topwater.
  12. Im with Diggy, here in S FL, we can fish all year long!
  13. Buy now, pay later. You cant take it with you right? Still got a couple more Shimanos I need to add to the arsenal.
  14. The Curado G and Citica G are both great. The bearing in the crankshaft on the Curado vs the bushing in the Citica allow for a more smooth retrieve. There are some better features to the Curado like the shaft bearing, and the brake posts being metal. Both have an aluminum frame, so strength is great on both. Can you go wrong with either one? No. If you can swing the extra $ for the Curado, then go for it.
  15. #40-#50 is great all around.
  16. No issues here either. Chevk the equipment or bad spool.
  17. Pull the spools out and inspect to see just how much may have got in there. Also, check the worm gears. If it were my stuff, I would take the whole reel apart and inspect and clean.
  18. Catch'em big buddy. Good luck. Give that Chronarch hell.
  19. Put a frog through it!
  20. But arent you glad you bought the Chronarch instead of the hamburger? I told you eating is overrated, go fishing instead, lol.
