  1. Thanks guys I'm leaning toward the Duckett and also considering the Dobyns, I'll have to get out to BPS to feel the Duckett and others..
  2. The palomar and trilene knots are good knots but their knot strength sucks on flouro it seems..
  3. Thanks guys, the San Diego Jam is strong I just tied it. http://www.fieldandstream.com/photos/gallery/fishing/bass/where-fish/2009/02/strongest-fishing-knots
  4. Debating the 3 rods for finesse 7'-7'3" spinning med-lite to med. Will be used for shakey head, skipping docks, light t rigs, senkos, and other finesse baits.
  5. The thing is I can't punch with any lower than the 6.1 model, so I think I'm going to get that model. Thanks for the replies guys.
  6. The reason I'd like to get a 7.1 ratio on the revo is because I'll be using the rod for mainly a-rig, but also some punching, I want the 7.1 for added versatility. I fished the A-rig and the pull is that of a 20+ diving crank with a huge bill on it. I think i may settle for the premier in 6.4:1 ratio for a little more power.
  7. It's not going to hurt it, all reels are basically made the same therefore most components interchange. I use "quantum" grease on my shimanos, works fine, just dont use alot or it will bog it down. Goodluck!
  8. Whats the best knot with 10-15# flourocarbon line, I use p-line flouro and have problems with trilene, and palomar knot. I can't have my knots breaking, because i fish tournaments. I'm stumped, any suggested knots?
  9. I'm going to be using the reel I choose on an 8' carrot stix gold for alabama rigging and punching. I've been looking at these reels and I want to get a 7.1 ratio because I might be doing some punching and deep ledge jigging with it. I'm leaning toward the revo premier. Remember I'm going to be throwing a 2-5 OZ. A-Rig with this reel so what do you guys think? -thanks!
