Key reason for the appearances of different types is WHAT IS being carried & dropping out of the currents. SOOO there is basically 2 types. Organic waste eating slimes. Or CARBON BASED slimes. Metals and mineral eating types of slimes. It seems as though we were feeding a stronger food & sewage waste eating slime for centuries. Then the Green People took control of pollution problems. Sounds great. BBUUTTT Nature has a group of slimes that LOVE TO EAT all kind of metals & minerals. They can eat TOXIC rusts of toxic metals. They have the ability to eat & increase the toxic metal amount in their bodies. This is a DEFINATE disaster for the food chains we like to use. Another Oh well

At the rate these slimes are smothering everything here. Grass carp will be my only gamefish. I will check out the surrounding bays for how fast the slime is moving.

I know we can not poison all the weeds in the lakes. Or will the green slime be eaten by the gangs of different mussels ? I need to hear some good news..

The odd thing is 10 years ago they started putting in CITY SEWAGE ONLY for all river towns. 2 years ago All the sewage stopped going into my section. THat is when the green mush started. We have nothing for leafy sea weeds anymore. Years ago all the small fish hid in a grassy carpet of weeds. Now there are all kinds of weeds in 8: & deeper water. Those bass guys better fish like crazy. The river is going to be a desert quickly.. Green slime land. At this rate I will stop fishing & do homemade popcorn .?

Well The St. Lawrence River Is the USA DUMPING ground for all incoming freighters with water from around the world. When they meet storms in the western Great Lakes They have to take in or pump out water with everything from all waters around the world. Oh well.?

there is a ground hugging filmy dark green slime covering everything except the base of a huge rock. First time It has SMOTHERED everything in shallows. It is smothering almost everything. In the deeper waters. A larger very light green blob is killing off anything it meets. I now understand the lack of fish. Plants convert sunlight into free Oxygen. TOO MUCH Oxygen can kill off fish in ice covered lakes with no snow cover to reduce the plants Oxygen outputs. There are no Cormorants, Herons or Ospreys diving in for fish. But there are now a lot more sea gulls diving on very small fish on the surface. Most are at the 18 to 20 foot deep areas. Life is tough for a fish.

Lets decide which SIZE fish is a better PROTECTOR of the hatched out young ones. A idiot gobie or any other fish only invades a big MAMA nest. I have seen the older larger parents grab a stupid gobie & kill it with a headshake. Other times they simply smash the gobie into the hard surface of the nest. Our other American fish are GENETICALLY better programed to not be so daring at a nest site. The bigger bass have massive cleared out sites. It gives them more time to attack the brave gobie.

The Canadian Fish agency ............DID STATE........to successfully PROTECT that the SIZE of the fish was ALL of the BEST and most .......MOST PRODUCTIVE .........size that breed and ........ PROTECT the hatched out babies. The 11" females DO NOT defend a nest as well as the record sized ones. So size DOES MATTER on the successful reproduction. Always with Smallmouth Bass. What killed the bass was the panic that the holding tank water was getting to hot. So some bossy people toss in loads of ice to cool the water down. They were told it could kill the bass. DDUUUHHH It did. These events are all about making money.

Some of the bass schools are big in the size of each fish. So they need a large area with food at each stop. I am seeing lots a huge baitfish groups at about 12 feet. Sometimes with bass echo's along side them. I can not get those bass to bite. I cruise with them sometimes hoping for a feeding time. I get bored & leave them.

Bingo Spanky I use a long metal stringer of 6 snaps . I keep them in the lake water all the 2 or 4 hours morning or afternoon. I troll a lot. When I look & check them. They are in a circle playing Gin Rummy. I carry a huge black trash bag as my live well to get them to my dock well supplied with fresh river water. 5 minute run at most. All still on the stringer. Victor arrives with the golf cart. 40 seconds later. The fish are his for food.

Is that the TV style of ....Catch, Weigh, record, release where caught ? And update all contestants continuously ? Naahh Too caring about the fish & racing in & possible boating accidents. Save a TON of gas & wearing out of all of the boat & people.

First time I heard of synthetic 2 stroke oil. I have no idea where my gaps should be facing on my 1988 Evinrude 30 hp. I have a excellent old 2 stroke mech O B. I found recommended NGK plugs & a idle mixture setting that burns off 1/2 of the insulator no wetness . just a light brown center. I troll 2 to 4 hours a day, none stop. I am doing 70 to 1 ratio as a compromise. What 2 stroke Synthetic do you use ?

I was very up set with a senior neighbor. Legal I guess. He bought a underwater T V system. Good grief . Ca see their scales color of lipstick etc. Oh well. Live too long ? Well there are 2 obvious possibilities for me not catching bass or perch in any numbers everyday anymore. I now stink at catching perch or smallies. Or they only want fresh perch fillet strips. Put fillet strips on everything I was not catching them on. BINGO !! Fresh RAW meat does it now. ?

I rate the smallies better thana pike, ANY trout stocked. Simple reason. The small mouth .......WILL NOT.......die from Lactic acid build up !! EVER !! I no longer try to catch other fish. They are to easy to kill from over exertion !! 4# test is death on them. I fished A trout stocked stream. FLIES only allowed. I fished catch & release for big trout the first time there. Iwas catching only 16" & larger. It stopped feeding on my fly. I Walk to my car and a ranger checks out my license & asks me if I had any luck ? I tell him I ran out of fish in the big pool. HE tells me to look at the lower pool on my way home. Almost every big trout is dead and piled up in a corner. I felt terrible. Warning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LACTIC ACID buildup KILLS some types of fish. Yes I was using a 4 # tippet . If you are a AMBUSH fish ? You will DIE if played out too long !!!!!!!!! Bingo MGF River tubing is making a comeback on the Delaware also. I no longer fish it due to no weed areas anymore. The death is from tiny pebbles from the road drainage systems.

I can give you a weather report on all fish. They do not have sun glasses. But The smallies will cruise ALL SUNNY DAY in any depth in full sunlight Then take a lure. Largemouth are ambusher if there are docks & boats. Smallies are always cruising looking for a careless meal. They do crash into weed clumps to chase out anything in it. Seen it many times in my bay. They crash so the bait is chased into the most open water area.
