  1. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion on this one but my opinion is the north doesn't have near as many 10+ but has a larger average size than the south.
  2. Just got it verified and he isn't lying to me. It really is a 12.93.
  3. While y'all are still on the subject of BIG GIRLS, I might have some news. This is coming from my dad who is always joking around, so I'm kinda skeptical. His buddy just pulled in a 12.93 and weighed it at TT. I saw a pic of it and its a really nice one, but I won't believe for sure until I see it somewhere else. It wrapped his trolling motor twice and when they lipped it the bait was just laying in his mouth not even hooked.
  4. No it's a couple guys from well hooked bass club in SW Louisiana.
  5. I'm not going to be there but I got yall two more boats coming.
  6. RCH check out Toledo-bend.com it will keep you up to date on water level. And just for reference full pool is 172. It also has some basic reports to look at.
  7. this weekend started around 47 and went to 54 or so and as high as 57 in the back of muddy coves
  8. Deep water...just throw a carolina rigged spinner bait and its on
  9. 31.41029 -93.63981 That should put you right on top of em.
  10. Housen is going to choked up with boats this weekend with the FOM tournament going out of fin & feather and the wind holding most people close.
  11. Yeah I didn't think about it, but hope some of y'all can make it.
  12. Hey guys been a while since I've been on here, but wanted to let y'all know about an open tournament our club will be holding next weekend. It's at fin n feather and we have the Tony Chachere's team cooking for everyone. Hopefully the pic shows up to give all info.
  13. There was an 11.65 caught in our company tournament yesterday
  14. Good to see you back Catt
  15. Sound good Dam Yankee wish I could be thinking about fishing, instead of the game that we just lost. Glad you had a good day on the water. I'm gonna try some salt water here by the house tomorrow.
  16. Bad timing for club tournament. We'll blame that one on LSU for scheduling their bye week for this past weekend. We took on some major water crossing the lake Friday (water up to our knees inside the boat), broke a HDS 10 unit, and the trolling motor stabilizer bar slammed straight through the front deck. Saturday wasn't any better but we didn't get quite as stupid. Sunday was a little better got to run, but it was still pretty windy. Anyways not many fish caught this weekend. Everyone caught there keepers in less than 8 fow. Graphs didn't have much activity on them this weekend, either shad and no fish or fish and no shad. The few times it looked active we didn't get a bite. I'm not saying that they are shallow now, but with the front its the only thing that worked.
  17. On day one the they had a couple really good stringers (one over 29 lbs.), but overall looked like a low average. I was expecting better than that, but the wind was probably rough. I was at the LSU vs ATM game yesterday and the wind was blowing pretty good, maybe if the wind isn't as bad today more people will get on them.
  18. Good to hear they still deep. I just wish they would stay there till end of month.
  19. I have a little club tournament coming up on the 27th and 28th, and will not have time to go prefish. If yall get up there in next couple weeks please keep me in mind. Not asking for places or baits used, just what stage they are in. Kinda hoping the deep crank bite is still on, but thinking they gonna start moving up a bit before I get there.
  20. Anyone have any news about chicot since they started releasing water?
  21. Yeah we had already decided that we would not be going to pools 1 & 2, but thanks for the information on the other three pools, that could help to have a better tournament next season.
  22. K thanks. I've never been on any part of the river so I've been trying to get info online and its hard to find on an area as confusing as this on. And yes I looked at that about the elites, and a couple did lock down to 3 (Greg Hackney and no he didn't do good at all), but I figured it was more to do with time cause if they they lock all the way down there they only had 2 hours fishing.
  23. All three pools seem to be pretty good, but just curious what yall think. It might make me change where we hold a tournament for our club. As of right now I'm thinking just keep it closer to home and launch in pool 3. If ya'll come back with more info we might go to pool 4 and let everyone lock over either way. Thanks in advance for ya'lls help.
  24. Red River Pools 3,4,or 5 All three pools seem to be pretty good, but just curious what yall think. It might make me change where we hold a tournament for our club. As of right now I'm thinking just keep it closer to home and launch in pool 3. If ya'll come back with more info we might go to pool 4 and let everyone lock over either way. Thanks in advance for ya'lls help. Side note: I've never been to any part of the Red so I really don't know a whole lot other than that pools 1 and 2 don't hold a candle to the others.
