Good Idea. (BAIT MONKEY APPROVED)

Cool, Just read the post about Triton Mike's sweet boat. If I understand LBH correctly, he is saying not only am i adding about 10mph per trolling motor I add, but I am also gaining the ability to pull a small aircraft carrier. Sweet.

From what i've learned on this website, you can never go wrong with a senko.

I live in Fayetteville, Ga. So I fish Lake Kedron, Lake Peachtree, and Lake Horton. All are good and different lakes. I am 16 yr old and i bought my first boat last year for $650 with the trailer. It is 15ft and has a 40hp Johnson on it. The Johnson was rebuilt a year before I bought it. The people I bought it from bought it used but they never used it. We tested the motor and the only thing that needed a little work was the choke. Unfortunately the closest gas lake is Westpoint so I will probably never use the big motor. However, I go every weekend during the school year to either Kedron or Peachtree (not horton as much) and during summer almost every day. I took it out yesterday and one of the batteries finally died over winter but the other one works fine. I am getting a job though so there will be money to fund the project.

My local lakes are electric only and I was thinking about selling my Johnson outboard motor to help buy a couple trolling motors. I was wondering if anyone else has electric only boat that they have a couple trolling motors on. (anyone interest in a '72 40hp johnson recently rebuilt)

And cats are kinda like people. Young kids have a lot of energy and crave attention while adults are wise and dont have as much energy. So Bass are like people.

Last summer I had to learn how to fish from a boat. I didnt catch anything the first 5 times i went out. I eventually caught one and then they just kept coming. You just have to find a good spot and then you will find more spots similar that have fish. Also this is a tough time to find fish in unfamiliar waters. I would say have your boat farther back from the bank to catch the fish that are slightly deeper now.

There is gonna be a ton added during this spawn.

It could be many things. Lots of fish are still in deep water in the south. This makes it very tough to find fish in unfamiliar territory. Dont worry it wont be long till the Bass are beding in your area and then you will have better luck. Last summer i got frustrated because i just got my first boat and couldnt catch fish on local lakes. After a while you will finaly catch a fish and there will be many more to come. You just have to get used to the water and find your honey hole.

If your gonna try swimbaits matt lures may be too expensive of swimbaits to test, so walmart carries storm wildeye bluegill swimbaits. its like 3 for $3.60 or somthin cheap. Owwwww, I was just bit by the bait monkey. I must go to walmart. Best of luck.

Chlorine is bad for fish that is why you have to use distilled water with pet fish.

I have fished a very similar lake in Helen, Ga. It was crystal clear and you could see 10 lb bass cruising the banks saying "catch me if you can." Well, I couldnt. I fished for 6 hr. Throwing absolutly everything in the tacklebox. I didnt get any bites. However, my friend was extra quiet and fished a worm wacky style and hooked an 8lber. But the day before he didnt want to spend $40 on a decent rod and decided to use his kmart special and the rod and line broke and he lost the fish. I would just suggest being very very quiet and stay low because the fish are probly very jumpy. Also you might want to trying fishing a senko wacky style. Good luck.

Oh thats his name. He bites me with his infectious rabies everytime i go to walmart and BPS. He doesnt let me out the door without buying something. Does the bait monkey have a name?

What store or website do you use to buy your lure making materials (paint, bodies, hooks, etc.)? What store or website is cheapest?
