  1. With tube hooks I go over my head...t-rigged I go lower, reel about even with my chin.
  2. She shouldn't of been standing there.
  3. My wife won't budge on the spinning reel but I've been considering handing over my citica e to my 9 year old daughter.
  4. I wouldn't over-think it. Find some cranks that you feel confident in and fish. Start with shallow divers and squarebills to gain some confidence. But...if you want to over-think it... Wide wobble I like Excaliburs (if you can find them) Tight wobble Yozuri 3D flat crank Rapala dt series are great cranks as are sebile cranksters and livingston lures. A lot of people seem to love the strike king kvd series cranks.
  5. Curado and tatula are both great reels. As for rods, I would make sure to get 1 fast action (single hook lures) and 1 med fast/moderate (cranks). 7 ft is a good length and is versatile. Don't know what part of the country you're in but in my neck of the woods med/heavy and medium power rods do the trick since vegetation is usually sparse and downsizing lures for pressured waters is often needed. Braid or fc on the fast action rod and mono for the med.fast/mod rod. That should cover the basics.
  6. Yes. In fact, it effects most animals. The deer even seem to respond to it.
  7. Always nice to see someone on here fishing the same waters as me.
  8. Cranks, senkos, and spinners in SE indy - SE Ohio. One 5 lbs, two 4 lbs, two 3 lbs, and around 15 dinks over the last month (all the good ones from AEP in E ohio). I'll probably start with t-rigged lizards tomorow and go from there.
  9. Crazy legs chigger craw. One of my favorites.

Venom Lures (salt series and bleeding series). I always have one tied on.
  11. I've only used them for walleye.
  12. Chigger craw and venom tubes
  13. Left with 8 (4 dinks, one 2 lbs, two 3 lbs, one 4 lbs). I didn't see any on beds. They posted some pretty detailed maps at the entrance of campground C. I took a picture but for the life of me I can't figure out how to post it.
  14. On my way there now...hopefully I get a couple
  15. The further the pond is from the road, the better the fishing. I haven't been there this year but will be there next week. You can catch some giants out of there.
  16. I've caught them on everything from hollow bodied frogs to square bills. Around here, they really seem to like fire tiger spinners with gold blades.
  17. I haven't been up to brookville yet but the whitewater is flooded (as of last sunday) and no ice on the small lakes I've fished right off the river in Harrison Indiana.
  18. I tend to have better luck the 4 days leading up to the full moon but not so much the day of and the next few days after.
  19. If you want a bass boat there make sure you make a reservation, we got stuck with a Jon boat last november. Cool place though, great outdoor restaurant Roland Martin has.
  20. I fish a lot of small creeks myself and my advice would be try up-sizing your lures. It's seems the smaller fish are more aggresive and will get to the lure before the larger ones. I like tubes, t-rigged creatures, and spinnerbaits.
  21. I own both. I'd give the slight edge to the Citica (based solely on the fact that I've owned the Citica for many years and know it's reliable and have only had a lexa for 1 season) but it's really a coin flip. Both perform great for the price.
  22. I've had problems with the search function too. I now google the keyword and follow it with bassresource and it gets me where I need to go.
