Yeah... I know. Abdo retired and nobody bought it out that I am aware of. The owner's son and I are good friends although I haven't seen him in a while. Spent a few New Year's day mornings trying to "eat" my way back to sober back in the day.

I am in for any lake. Anna sounds good but I just want to fish and meet some fellow anglers. I have spoken with Nitrofreak about fishing together and I have fished with HokieBass so I know it will be great. I'd be up for it and would be grateful to have a co-angler/non-boater with me. I say we have pick a definite place, then have a signup sheet and go from there. See how many boaters/non-boaters we have wanting to come. Any idea on how to pair up? Just pick who you want? Lottery/drawing? Huh?

I have a few tips on hand. You can have them if any fit. They are micros and one regular. Not sure of the size. Most are Fuji. John... just call me.

I was talking with another member and though (although I am pretty sure this is not an original concept ) it would be great to have a bunch of us meet at Smith Mountain Lake for a day. For a non-boater, I'd be willing to share my boat for the day and would hope others would do the same. The best place to meet as far as parking and the like would be the state park although I prefer Penhook. This would not be limited to Virginia anglers and all would be welcome. Thoughts?????

I was looking for some old trailers to get parts to rebuild my jonboat trailer. Found some stuff and then this guy gives me an old 1971 (I believe) Cobia run-a-bout. This is, in all reality, a turd. Left out in the elements... wood all rotten... no motor... plants growing in the crap that settles in the hull. The trailer will complete all the parts I need. So... what do I do with the boat? Everything is there except the motor, gas tank... stuff that makes it go. Was going to use a sawzall and cut it into little bitty pieces so i can throw it away. Any thoughts?

Put 6 in the boat this morning at SML. Not any big size. 5 were 1.5 to 2 pounds. The biggest was 3.5 pounds. All on a Chartreuse crankbait.

Yup... was watching it. I recorded the whole thing... on beta. Nope... don't have it anymore.

Guess those are universal. Been catching those all over the sound and surf at Emerald Isle NC this week. Oh well... heading home in 5 minutes now.
