After reading a few posts, I guess I'm a bit perplexed. I live in NH, and my wife and I fished many tournaments last yr with 3 different clubs, and we never saw anything like what is described here. We were welcomed, respected, and asked to come back by every one of the clubs. As a matter of fact, every tournament we fished had at least 3, sometimes more, women in the tourney.
Bass fishing is bass fishing. There is absolutely nothing in bass fishing that a man can do any more effectively than a woman, other than perhaps relieving themselves with a bit less hassle (large dunkin donuts cup works well for my wife here lol).
Perhaps I am just one of the lucky few, but I am sure that just about every man on the lake wishes they could look over and see their woman out there with them, adding to the livewell.
