i don't use braid on my spinning set up however I use braid on both my baitcasters and use a fluorocarbon leader. I tie a double uni knot to join the lines. I never used braid for all my baitcasters till a few weeks ago(friend told me to try out the fluoro leader) and i love it.

im in need of a bait caster and I'm looking at the shimano citica or the revo s. there both the same price and I'm wondering if anyone thinks one is better than the other. thank you for the input.

I will have to get better at doing that. It get a little anxious once i see that big bass destroy the buzz bait haha

Why is extra fast a good action? I have a fast rod and maybe I'm the one missing the fish but sometimes with a buzz bait i feel like I'm setting the hook to early and not letting him inhale it. I know a buzz bait is a reaction bait but I've missed a few fish because of this reason. Im not saying you guys are wrong because you obviously know more than me but I'm just curious for an explanation as to why an extra fast rod will do the job.

I'm looking to purchase a casting topwater rod. What specs are good for a topwater rod? What action and length should it be? It will be used to catch bass with buzz baits, pop R, and other topwater lures.

Do u like the Yo-Zuri? I used 8lb on my spinning reel and it was awful. Maybe because it was too stiff for the spinning reel but I am not sure.

I still like the stern but we'll see what happens. I used the vanish also for a bit and liked it but didn't love it. Is KVD line conditioner a good investment to make? Ive never used it and might start using it.

Ive heard good things about the BPS brand reels. I still might go with a shimano but I'm looking into some BPS brand reels.

I have a quantum accurist AC500PT and i want to put some oil on the gears because it is getting a little old. However, on my handle side, the side plate won't pop off even after taking the screws off. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Im getting very frustrated.

I know micro guide rods are able to cast farther, but does it limit the type of fishing you can do with it? I don't know anything about the micro guides so some info would help thanks

its not the spinning reels, i had the exact same problem. bought 8lb test and put it on my reel and the memory is awful. I constantly got tangled(and no this was not my fault). I never got birds nests with my spinning reels until i bought this line. Yo-Zuri should refund everyone who bought the line
