My top 2 rod companies are Big Bear Rods and G-Loomis, now the Big Bear Micro Spiral casting rod I was given is without a doubt, the best rod in the world, it has served me well. The blank began to crack due to being stored in a high humidity garage, I called up Big Bear and they replaced it free of charge, I was pretty happy about that. And then my G-Loomis Bronzeback, I got on the phone with the company and a sales rep helped me pick out a rod for tube fishing, very nice employee. I was very happy with both rods and the companies of which they came from. What are your experiences with rod companies and tell me your favorites.

I have limited experience with different rod companies but my favorite is St. Croix. The ones I own and have used have been great for me. I've never had to deal with customer service yet but the rods have been great. I also like G-Loomis and Dobyns.

Another vote for St. Croix.

I fish a lot of st croix, but my new favorite spinning rod is Pinnacle! My jig rod is a loomis glx though and it is unreal!

Favorite is St. Croix. Don't have any experience with their customer service cause I've never broke one. Guess I'm not hard enough on my equipment?

#1 for me is Loomis. #2 would be St Croix.

Lightweight, strong, sensitive, and affordable. Factor in great customer service and I just can't justify dropping $200 on a Croix or Dobbyns (both good rods, though).

My Powells cost me $140. For the money vs quality vs service you cant Beat that!!!

Factory built rods; Loomis by a mile, their graphite is still head and shoulders above anyone elses (in factory built rods)...love the GLX and IMX, haven't fished the NRX because if I'm spending that kind of money I'm doing a custom and using:...

North Fork Composites, Gary Loomis' new graphite blank company, who only produces bass blanks right now. Their Next Gen IM (intermediate mod) is a pretty big step above GLX in terms of weight and is more sensivite to boot....I've heard their HM (high mod) is unbelievable but it costs more and my 3 IM rods are tremendous rods...eventually I'll pull the trigger on HM.
