  1. The knobs are actually pretty nice. I picked up the new SS Air with the same knobs. Id say there slightly smaller then the 50 size shimano septon knobs
  2. I'll go first, who wants to lend me there zonda ...
  3. The yellow power pro is great, definitely easier to see. I did an experiment on a clear quarry i fish. Was using 10lb yellow pp and cut my flouro leader off. Threw a jackall flickshake on straight yellow braid in absolute clear water, you can see the bottom in 20ft of water on a clear day. Nailed a nice 3lb bass, dont think he cared what color the line was, lol. In clear water im gonna have a leader on 99% of the time, but if i was in a jam i wouldnt hesitate to fish straight braid...
  4. Haha, thats the worst braid ive ever used, stuff was horrible !!
  5. Ive tried almost everything besides the daiwa samurai & sunline, my favorite for performance and price has been sufix performance braid. I regularly use the sufix or power pro, whatevers on sale...
  6. Nice bass, what model crucial did you get, and how do you like it ?
  7. I havent got my hands on a sol yet, but ive had the alphas, alphas type f, and alphas ito. Really sweet reels. ^ Mike you should post your sol, its sweet
  8. Can't go wrong with a core, bfs xg, or metanium.
  9. Anyone that could weigh there new crucials and post up would be appreciated.
  10. I want a new crucial as well, just curious what the weight it is...
  11. Best prices and fast shipping. That place has made me poor....
  12. My lines ive been using lately are Sufix performance braid Pline floroclear Pline cxx maxima ultragreen mono yozuri hybrid All pretty affordable and great lines. My flouro recommendation would be sunline sniper.
  13. For the daiwa nuts, if you were gonna have one highend daiwa platform, would it be the classic td-ito or one of the zondas, specifically the hedgehog...
  14. My only experience with loomis is handling the gl2 series, a few glx models, and the nrx. Gl2 is overpriced, didnt like the styling of the glx, and the nrx was sweet. Would try a nrx at the rep sample price, but at msrp i would most likely go jdm and try evergreen/megabass...
  15. I almost pulled the trigger on a hedgehog not too long ago. I liked the fact of getting a regular & finesse spool, and a cool looking paint job. Talked myself out of it though. My alde bfs feels better in hand, and I have a ktf spool that will perform better... I might consider an alphas platform or td ito in the future for a project though.
  16. All lines have the right place & time squirm...
  17. Nothing to worry about, took it to a safe spot to test the reel out...
  18. Yea, ill mostly add that and a core/avail dragstar. I need to find a reputable shimano parts place that have them in stock...
  19. Added the mighty scorpion to the lineup. Cleaned it, added hedgehogs, and threw a zpi handle on there. Will be putting the septon knobs on there tonight. Matches very nicely with the 6'10 cumulus. Put on some 8lb hybrid and really liking this line. I was casting this little 3/8oz megabass a mile...
  20. I primarily fish sammys and other walking baits. The cadence is much easier with a faster geared reel, atleast i think so...
  21. You actually want to spool braid very tightly. Id recommend taking the braid off and putting it back on the spool. You'll have much more success and save money if you start off with some 10-12lb mono. Learn the ins & outs of baitcasters first, then try the braid out.
  22. Haha, if your scared to fish it send it back my way
  23. Its all preference like i said. Some guys still use the old curados with the 3:8 gear ratios... I like the shimano 5:2 - 6:4 ratios for all the different cranks out there.
