  1. I fish an old quarry thats clear blue water thats mainly 18-25 ft deep with a few really deep holes, one being over 50ft. My go to baits is a sammy 85, hooked my biggest bass at 6lbs plus on that. Two cranks that work great are shadraps and owner cultiva mira vibe lipless cranks. When it comes to plastics, i always do well with dropshotting anything green pumpkin.
  2. Loving my new combo, 6'3 medium cumara reaction rod, curado 51e with hawgtech handle. Putting some braid on right now. Cant wait till next week when my core 51 comes in, ill have pics with it on a 6'5 cumulus
  3. X2 with what Darren said. I'm not a big fan of yozuri hybrid though, I prefer flouroclear.
  4. The bait monkey has made me go completely off the deep end Sold my champion 682, a cumara, a coalition rod, a ci4 2500, and a daiwa fuego 1000a, Still have a phenix m1 to sell. Picked up a sustain 1000, a ci4 1000, a curado 51e, a core 51, two cumulus rods, and two cumara's, lol. Ive also had numerious TW orders with lots of dropshot goodies, picked up a hawgtech handle for the curado, and got 3 shimano spinning reel covers, and two shimano baitcaster covers. Now i need to pick up 5 rod sleeves and one more cheap baitcaster for frogs.... And i have atleast 100 lures going up for sale in the flea market tonight......
  5. Depends on what kind of fishing your doing, on a baitcaster it would be anywhere from 8-12lb leaders for me.
  6. I like the 6'8-6'10 medium light rods. And definitely pick up some megastrike hooks.
  7. I like flouroclear a lot, I use it for my leaders when using braid.
  8. Cant go wrong with either stradic...
  9. Get the battery, pick up another reel in the future...
  10. With 300 I'd be looking for a shimano core on sale or a chronarch....
  11. Shimano got my vote, love the baitcasters and spinning reels.

I wear a buff in the winter, with a ski hat and hood, its nice and warm and your keeping the uv rays off your cheeks. In the summer i wear a buff with a really big hat. Also have columbia uv shirts and dr shade gloves.
  13. haha, i was waiting for what you were gonna say, lol
  14. Right now im using just flouro on my baitcasters, and 10lb braid on my spinning rods with flouro leaders only in clear water. If its heavily stained or muddy i just use straight braid.
  15. Ive used sufix 832, power pro, super slick, regular sufix braid, berkley pro, and probally a few others. The most quiet is definitely super slick. What i liked most was regular power pro. followed by the regular sufix braid. Im going to give the seaguar kanzen a shot soon...
  16. I hate the t handle as well. Id cruise ebay and look for other options. I love ci4/sustain handles the best...
  17. I thought the reel was smooth, but the reel just didn't feel solid to me. I played with the new Sahara and symetre as well. They all felt cheap compared to the stradic fj. That is such a nice and well built reel....
  18. Played with this reel at a fishing expo today. Wasnt impressed. Id pay the little bit of extra money for a saros/stradic. Glad i didnt pull the trigger on one...
  19. I was playing with the rtx and helios at a fishing show today. There not bad, but i will definitely be sticking with my shimanos...
  20. One more for braid with flouro leaders...
  21. I just got a core 51, looks like i gotta sell some tackle to cover that
  22. I wish my friend never told me about them, lol. I spend way toooo much money there... I love the $10 one day shipping, whenever im stocking up on lures my order is always $50 to get the one day shipping, lol. Definitely my favorite online place to order from.
  23. Reel came in today, its super clean. I spooled it up with some 8lb flouroclear and threw it on an old 6'6 medium berkley lightening i got at a flea market for $15 bucks. Im super impressed with this reel, especially with the 1/4oz weight range. First thing i did was pop the cover to check the brakes. Had 4 in, 2 out. I started with 1/2 oz lures, was throwing them great. Stepped down to 3/8, still great. Then i started throwing 1/4 oz lipless cranks and it was a real sweet spot. Im super impressed how well this throws light baits. I even put on an 1/8oz yozuri jerkbait and was shocked that i could cast it, lol. I think i got some spinning gear going up for sale to fund a hawgtech handle and a better rod, seriusly considering the 6'10 medium elite tech smallmouth rod. Will i get more distance with some 15-20lb braid or should i stick with the 8-10lb mono ?
  24. Ive caught a soda can and a fishing rod. My friend caught a stingray on bass gear, we seriously thought it was a huge shark, lol. Took atleast 20 minutes to get it in on a 6ft medium rod with a small spinning reel. Ive never seen a fish pull that much drag besides the one muskie ive caught...
